It is worth buying because it has all kinds of high quality tools.
5.0 out of 5 stars Every bit you need in 1 place
Always losing bits so having such a good range in a sturdy case is important.I like the additional parts like tweezers , a sturdy pry tool and a very useful flexible extension for then awkward to reach screws. All feels well made and good magnetic hold on the bits when in use.Overall a great find
5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome little kit for intricate repairs
There have been a few times recently where I've felt the need for one of these sets, and I'm lucky I got the opportunity to trial this. My main pair of glasses has been broken for longer than I can remember, and my partner is always tinkering with our Xbox controllers, so this was a great thing to try out.Pros:• Versatile, given it comes with 150 bits• Magnetic head is a life-saver• Durable - all of it feels strong and durableCons:• None as of yetFirst Impressions:Straight out of the box, the set looks professional and feels well-made. It comes in a nice, sleek black box that is compact and fits perfectly on a small shelf in my utility room. The closure clasp is strong, so it won't accidentally open, and when opened the bits all stay in place reliably.I like the contrasting orange and black, which helps to see the bits better. There are soo many of them, and they're all organised in a sensible way that even I can figure out what I need. There's also a super handy little storage box with has some little bits you may find useful (like a keyring clasp, a phone pin etc). You get the main driver and a bendy extender, and it all fits together well to aid with a variety of tasks you may need it for. You also get extra tools such like a long set of tweezers.Functionality:The set, so far, has been great for small repairs. I was able to fix my glasses with ease with the tiny parts I needed, and the magnetic head made lining up and securing screws easy. The precision is excellent, and I am by far a pro, so this should be a good kit for beginners. My partner delves into more complicated tweaks, such as building and changing our Xbox controllers. He has sang the praise for this kit, and said the bit variety is spot on, and both of us agree that the magnetic head is perfect and isn't something you always get in all kits.Verdict:For us, it's a no-brainer. This is a useful all-in-one screwdriver with everything we need for intricate repairs. It would be a great investment for any household, and we've used it more than I had expected, and I find it really easy to use it having all the bits in one place. Highly recommended.
4.0 out of 5 stars Good value set
This has quite a lot of bits that are needed for electronics repair, so it's ideal mainly for that end user. The Y tip set are very handy for me as I do use these more than most, so it's good to see them here, along with the security Torx bits. The metal construction of the driver is nice to see, as many of these sets have plastic drivers that always tend to fail too quickly, so it's nice to see a set where this kind of material choice is used, to ensure a longer lifespan. The tips I have used so far give me no reason to think they wont last well into the future.I am so far impressed.
5.0 out of 5 stars Every bit you'll ever need - and more.
I ordered this to replace my existing mini/'jewelers' screwdrivers because the ones I had are sadly lacking, both it quality and bit variety, with just a few flat & cross-head options. This is in a completely different league.Firstly the main body. It's made of a quality grey satin-finish alloy, which I presume is aluminium because it's both light and non-magnetic. The top section rotates independently and smoothly, which is hugely important for a precision screwdriver. There are 4 spring-loaded click stops for length, which adjust the screwdriver length from 205mm down to 145mm in 20mm increments. Fully closing the stem and using none of the click stops gives a 139mm length. The bit holder itself is magnetic, so retains both the bit in the driver and the screw on the bit (it's SO frustrating when you have to deal with tiny screws and a non-magnetic bit).On to accessories. There is a 130mm flexible extension, which allows use in tighter spaces than could be accessed with the full screwdriver length. A pair of very fine-nosed tweezers are provided, which are always useful when dealing with tiny screws & components. There's a double-ended 'spudger' and two triangular ones which, given the number of plastic clips and glue that hold electronic devices together these days, are invaluable. Also provided is a 'release spike' for accessing recessed 'factory reset' switches, memory card slots etc. and a suction cup with attached split ring which I'm not sure of the purpose of if I'm honest. There's also a small packet of about a dozen spare tiny screws. As for bits, there are a huge selection - 120 shorts bits including a magnetic pick-up bit, 3 longer bits and an adapter so that the provided (4mm) bits can be used with very common 6mm screwdrivers. All in all, it's a well-built, well-finished and comprehensive precision screwdriver set. It's NOT (and shouldn't be expected to be) a general-purpose screwdriver set. Five stars from me, very happy with it.
