I bought a lovely blue Oakcastle CD 250 player recently and have not been disappointed!The device is compact and feels substantial and well built with a retro look. I think this device will last years. I’ve got it standing on my bedside table. The setup instructions are easy to follow and the functions are intuitive. The sound is good for such a compact device. It’s not a sophisticated device but if you’re looking for an inexpensive, quality item that’s a good value for money device to play your favourite CDs on, this is an excellent choice.My only regret that I hadn’t gone for a model with a DAB radio.

The media could not be loaded. The Oakcastle CD250 CD Boombox with FM Radio and Bluetooth connectivity arrived the same day I ordered it from Bolo. It was well packaged and arrived in pristine condition.The CD250 comes with a power lead, comprehensive user manual that is well written and an extended 3-year warranty which was easy to register online with Majority by scanning the QR code. Once unpacked it was easy to get the Boombox up and running, you can use mains or 6 x C size batteries to power it which makes it ideal for both indoor and outdoor use. The player comes in a variety of colours to suit all tastes, I chose the black to blend in with our other entertainment systems.I first tried the FM Radio function on the CD250 and which despite living in a poor reception area it picked up all the stations effortlessly as I tuned it in with the FM antenna fully extended. You can store up to 30 preset stations which is straightforward using the instruction manual provided. The sound output was crisp and clear with both music and speech, the volume and station tuning controls are sturdy and easy to adjust.Next, I placed the FM/Off/CD rear switch in the CD position to see what the CD250 boombox can really do. Beware that you need to remove the shipping protector tab before you insert a CD for the first time, it is easy to spot when you open the CD door. The CD250 is compatible with CD, CD-R, and CD-RW formats, I chose a normal audio CD and went on to try the various functions which all worked seamlessly. The sound quality is excellent for a portable player producing fantastic stereo sound through the powerful integrated speakers. In my opinion the only thing lacking was it does not come with a remote, but maybe that is me just getting old and lazy.There is a 3.5mm headphone socket situated on the rear of the CD250 making it ideal to listen to your favourite music through headphones at your desired volume without disturbing anyone else.Lastly, I tried out the Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity which hooked up faultlessly with my Samsung phone. The sound was excellent and brought my playlists to life through the CD250 speakers. You can also hook up your laptop or tablet to the Oakcastle CD250 showing how versatile its Bluetooth connectivity is.The CD250 comes with a neat fold away carrying handle and weighing only 1.4 KG it is truly portable, the function/control buttons are all clearly labelled with positive actions when pressed or rotated. The LCD display is clear and easy to read providing all the relevant information for the various functions.Overall, the Oakcastle CD250 from Majority is an excellent mains/portable CD player with FM radio and Bluetooth connectivity which will provide many hours of high-quality portable audio entertainment at a price which will not put a dent in your purse or wallet and I highly recommend it.

Easy to use. I only bought it to play cd's. Haven't tried the radio yet,so can't comment about that. Sound isn't too bad. If you're someone that likes fiddling around to get the right 'sound' you're probably best buying something more technical! I just want to listen to my music and not have to spend ages fiddling about to get the 'tone right'. Comes with a 3 year extended warranty.If you want easy and idiot proof, instant music this little machine is the one. It's also reasonably priced and comes in a few different colours. The black and blue versions cost slightly more than the red and silver.

This was a gift for my elderly mother who is blind and lives in a care home. She enjoys audiobooks and music so this is ideal. The carers find it simple to operate and the sound quality is very good.

I was pleased to find the CD250 at a good price, then was even more pleased with a further 10% discount. I know that less expensive products aren't always the best quality, so I was slightly apprehensive, but decided to give the item a try.I am so pleased I did. The sound quality is exceptional, much better than many more expensive units. It is easy to use and plays our Texas CD really well! The radio also works well.This is a very well made piece of equipment, sturdy and also good looking.I strongly recommend the CD250. If you are looking for a portable CD Player/Radio, this is the one to get!

Great product, easy to use for my 4 year old and love that it’s portable too. Haven’t used the Bluetooth yet but I’m sure she will have dancing along to her favourite songs when she’s not listening to story tapes.
Buena calidad de sonido pero…
La radio es ligera y tiene muy buena calidad de sonido pero tiene un fallo que, en mi opinión, es bastante significante. Se pueden guardar hasta 30 estaciones de radio bien con el auto-escaneo que hace la radio o sintonizando manualmente. El problema es que al apagar el aparato las emisoras guardadas desaparecen de la memoria. Al volver a encender la radio ya no están guardadas. Abría que añadirlas de nuevo. Esto es un fallo grande.
