5.0 out of 5 stars Comfy Bed For Our Lab’- Cover Seems Hard Wearing & Washable
The media could not be loaded. The item arrived well packaged arriving in a really small little box as everything was vacuum sealed. Once the package was opened almost instantly it was ready to use. It’s proven to be a great bed, albeit a tad small for our Labrador. So probably the next size up (extra large), would have been better. Although that said he took to it immediately as soon as it was laid down. (see video)Despite that he seems to enjoy it regardless of the size!Lovely comfy foam and it has a great quality cover.Easy to put on/take off so will be easy to wash. Our dog loves to scrape his bed before he lies down and so far it’s withstanding his claws which is a very good sign. All in all a great bed for him.
4.0 out of 5 stars Size reviewed Large but technically it's for "Medium" sized dogs
Once the cover and mattress have been combined, it's a lovely basket but I feel the price point of £59.99 is a little too high for the item. The visual finish is very nice and it has a lovely soft feel to it, but there are a few things that I feel let it down, which I will cover below. The XL size wasn't an option for me, otherwise I would have gone for that size variation. Large isn't really big enough for my Staffordshire Bull Terrier and definitely isn't big enough for my Labrador but I am sure the two of them will still end up in it, even if it means their bum or head is hanging out.The non-slip bottom is a great feature and will stop it from walking around my tiled flooring and will definitely keep it in position on carpet.I have knocked off a star due the the zipper, which I had to fight to open and because the foam mattress didn't come "encased in a waterproof liner" as mentioned in the description, but instead was supplied with a "poorly cut off sheet that only covered half of the mattress".I have messaged the seller to ask if I received an item that shouldn't have passed quality control or if it is the expectation that the mattress comes with a rough cut waterproof liner (my expectation from the description would be that it would be fully encased). (See below for the reply)Question asked: The product page states that: The egg-shaped foam mattress is encased in a waterproof liner for full protection. However, it wasn't encased in a waterproof liner, it just had barely enough "sheet" to go over one side, is that how it is supposed to be? (Please see attached picture).Answer received (which didn't answer my question):Yes, the cover bottom has a non-slip rubber pellet that is slightly waterproof, but it is still recommended to keep it away from water.
5.0 out of 5 stars Approved by my bed-fussy, fluffy boy!
I have a fussy thick-haired dog who is very particular about which beds he likes. I wanted to replace a larger, plump bed with this one as Summer is coming and the other one is too big. So far, I'm delighted as he loves it!Pros:• Solid structure with supportive walls• Orthopedic memory foam innards• Removable, soft flannel coverCons:• None so farIt came as you'd expect for a dog bed, all rolled up and ready to pop up and leave it to settle into its shape. It's a really good size. My boy is very fluffy but he's quite small underneath it all, although this is definitely large enough for a medium-sized dog.The bolster is not too soft or firm, and the memory foam is ideal too. It doesn't sink too much, which you want for supporting your fluff, but must be comfortable enough because he instantly flopped on it and has loved it since. He often curls up in the corners, and the walls are solid enough to support his body and don't fold down, and it's just about big enough for him to lie on his side and rest his head on the side. His favourite position is resting his chin on the side with his body all curled up.The bed is currently in my log cabin which I use as an office. It's a great little size to slot between my desk and my exercise bike, and even though we're in the garden so my dog is often muddy, it doesn't really show dirt too badly. But, the cover is easily removable with a zip so it can be washed which is crucial given our dirty-pawed friends. It also dries very quickly.Overall, my dog and I are very happy! He is getting older (5) so tolerates softer beds more now, but being a long-haired breed he prefers cold floors sometimes. The fact he likes this one and will sleep on it is really surprising and I'm happy he finally has a bed he likes. Highly recommended and totally worth it.
3.0 out of 5 stars Get a size bigger than you think you will need
This dog bed comes compactly packaged and does take a while to fully expend plus you need to put the cover over the mattress, which not really an issue for the price I would have expected to be able to open the box and it all be done, I guess this is the sort of thing that a shop would purchase and put together to sell. The materials and build quality feels nice out of the bag, I am not sure how soft this will remain over time and with a few washes in.Overall this is a great bed for our Spaniel, I do think that it is overpriced though for what you get and comparing with similar available from the pet shop I don't think that I would be tempted for this over others at a similar price point.
5.0 out of 5 stars Luxurious Pet Bed
I purchased this bed for my cat. In my opinion, dogs will sit in any bed, but cats have more discerning tastes. They prefer boxes or beds of exceptional quality—ones from which they can rule their domain.Surprisingly, my cat wholeheartedly approves of this bed, even though it’s designed for a large dog. She stretches out and sleeps for hours, completely undisturbed when I move the bed. If she weren’t snoring and rolling around, I’d be genuinely concerned. The material is luxuriously soft to the touch, and the padding strikes a balance between firmness and sponginess. The little mounds on the surface seem to provide a soothing massage for my pet. Overall, it’s an excellent bed for dogs and cats.
