Really nice moisturizer. Great scent. Hydrating!
Thick hydrating moisturizer, but extremely fragrant.
This is a thick night time moisturizer but like a lot of Clarins products, it has fragrance galore which can be irritating to skin. Honestly if you're looking for something without fragrance, steer clear. But if you're okay with fragrance and even like it, then this is the moisturizer for you. Personally the scent is not light enough for me to want to purchase it again.
Very hydrating, didn't irritate skin
This night cream is meant for dry skin, and it definitely delivers on the promise of hydrating skin overnight. I used it as the last step in my PM routine for several nights in a row.I was a little weary of the niacinamide at first. I'm one of those people whose skin is very "hit or miss" when it comes to whether or not it'll tolerate a formula containing higher amounts of the popular ingredient. In this case, the percentage of niacinamide isn't actually listed, but it is higher up on the list of ingredients.Thankfully, it did not cause any irritation. I love the benefits it provides; I just never know if I'll reap those or if I'll end up with irritation lol.I'm a big fan of this formula. It's quite rich but doesn't make my skin feel wet and oily. It layers well with my other products. The powerful peptides are a wonderful addition.Overall I am pleased with the performance. It does make my skin look brighter and more plump. The hydration is definitely there. I have a health condition that causes chronic dry skin, so I am always trying my best to stay ahead of that. This feels like it hydrates more than just the very surface of the skin, which has been hard to achieve for me.The only small complaint I have is the added fragrance. While not unpleasant at all, I do tend to try to avoid added fragrance. I wish facial skincare companies wouldn't use them at all, to be honest, but everyone is different. Just wanted those with sensitive skin to be aware.

Ever since I started using products containing Niacinamide, my skin has improved dramatically.This Renewing Night Moisturizer helps to hydrate my skin, but the most crucial part is that it helps to keep my skin's sebum balanced. I no longer have spots on my face that are dry or oily. Everything is now balanced and normal. My biggest issue with my skin was when I started menopause, and this night cream has helped dramatically keep my skin hydrated and looking young.I find if I want results, I must be consistent and patient. Missing applications slow the benefits of the product on my skin.HOW I USE:1 - Cleanse my face,2 - Apply my usual serums3 - I only use about a nickel-size amount that I scope out using Metal Skin Care Spatula. I start at the middle of my face and apply going out and up. I don't pull on my skin but use it gently, gently sweepingly. On my neck, I start at my jaw and down.Clarins Multi-Active Renewing Night Moisturizer w/Niacinamide goes well with the other skincare products in my regimen.EXPIRATION DATE: UPON OPENING!I always check for an expiration date before using, ESPECIALLY with health & beauty products. This product does not have one, which means the expiration is between 12-18 months UPON OPENING.This Moisturizer is exactly as advertised, and works well. The PRICE is in the usual range.
Overpowering Fragrance
I've long seen the Clarins counter at high-end department stores and know that it is a reputable brand. However, until now, I don't recall ever trying any Clarins products. While I generally prefer to use a fragrance-free night cream because these are safer for my sensitive skin, I am open to and have tried many that have a scent. I have liked some of them. For that reason, I was eager to try this Multi-Active Renewing Night Moisturizer. I was impressed with the hygienic packaging in which the jar arrived -- sealed tightly inside of a branded box, which was also totally sealed. I opened the jar with anticipation and took a tentative sniff. Unfortunately, I have to agree with other reviewers who noted the overpowering fragrance. This cream smells like perfume. I don't find it unpleasant, but I do find the strength of the scent to be way too much. it would be foolish of me, knowing the limits of my own skin (and nose) to put this cream on my face, let alone for an entire night. For this reason, I'll never know whether or not it is effective.
