This candle is of a really good size. The jar looks really pretty and can be part of a lovely display. The fragrance is nice and can be smelt while the candle is burning. This has lasted really well. Great value for money, I will definitely buy again

I haven't yet lit this lovely candle, so I can't in all truth say how beautiful it smells - but I can say that the fragrance was evident as soon as I'd open the parcel, and it seems to be very pleasant. The candle itself is presented in an absolutely beautiful glass, which can be used for a variety of purposes once the candle has burnt. It's then been placed in a very attractive box and beautifully wrapped in paper and tied with a bow. Yes it was expensive, but it's obviously of the highest quality and would make a lovely gift for someone special.

Got to say what excellent customer service and for all the right reason. Got sent another candle which is far superior to the last one,beautiful aroma that fills the room and a lovely even burning wick.I think looking at all the negative reviews they all seem to centre around the wider wick candle which seems to just about burn and possibly affects the candles ability to spread its aromaMaybe if you revisited these particular candles it’s maybe a issue with the wicksAnyway five stars for the way my feedback has been handle and will definitely be buying some more candles from you and also taking your advise as to the best smelling onesThank youI expected this candle to have a lovely smell of sandlewood and petunia but instead I got nothing. It is completely void of any smells and the wick is atrocious,it’s a thick wick that just about burns.I lit it for the recommended 4hrs and then relit the next Day but still nothing for the high price I would look elsewhere this candle is one of the worst I have bought.

I love these candles, the noise of the crackling wick is the best. It was so expertly wrapped there’s no chance of breakages. The dark berries and bergamot is not my favourite I’m afraid. But I’ll use it. My favourite is the fir and cedar wood which I got last Xmas and I still have the jar which is used for cotton wool on the dressing table. Quite expensive but the scent is strong so I feel they are worth it also it burns very evenly

It is even more beautiful in real than on the picture. Great quality and wonderful scent of lavender. I shall buy it again when this one will be all consumed.Update:I just bought another Jolie Muse candle. This time it was Balsam Fir & Cedarwood. Unfortunately I received the wrong one. Before opening the lovely well warped parcel, I checked the label and read Starlit Golden Fir.If it is Bolo's mistake, then the seller should contact Bolo to remind them to be more careful. I am happy that I ordered this very early, because I have time to send it back and receive the right one for Christmas.When you receive your parcel, check the label before unwrapping the candle to be sure you have the right one. If not, go to Bolo customer service and ask for a free return label.

Not sure what I expected from a crackling wick. I am a bit disappointed because it is VERY quiet. You'll need to be next to it and in a quiet room to hear it. Good for cosy nights with a good book. Wouldn't describe it as crackling either. More like rapidly fluttering cloth but very quiet. Not an unpleasant sound.Anyway, the scent is lovely. It's subtle but it builds nicely and doesn't have any soapy or chemical smells. Just a nice smell.The candle is plenty big and comes in a lovely glass jar which is of surprising thickness and quality. Nice glass lid too. Would have liked a rubber seal just to protect the glass, but it's no biggy.The packaging is very basic but that's not bad. Comes in a thick wad of foam with a little simple card taped to it. Foam is in 2 pieces and inside you'll find the candle and lid. The lid is separated by another piece of circular foam which is a nice touch. Too many folk would ship this in one piece which would lead to chips on both parts.This is a lovely gift to anyone (yourself included) and you'll be left with a really cool jar once the candle eventually burns out.

Noisy flicker/flame
The heavy glass jar is beautiful and the rose scent is amazing. The packaging was really nice too with a nice quality, soft/satiny olive green ribbon tied around it that I can reuse for other purposes. It also came in thick styrofoam to protect it nicely. Styrofoam is awful for environmental purposes but it served to protect the candle very well the way it was packaged. It still gets 5 stars, but it is the noisiest candle I've ever had, it doesn't really bother me but it's very puzzling how noisy it is. I always cut the wick down as directed, so I don't know if I just got a weird one or what. Not deterred though, I am excited to buy others to see if they are strangely noisy too, but especially for the aroma and especially the fancy glass jar with matching lid!!
Quality, as always, but it gave me headaches
La Jolie Muse candles are always excellent. Slow-burning soy wax, gorgeous glass jar, exquisite and well-balanced perfume composition. While I enjoyed a lot the scent of the Rose Noir & and Oud candle, it systematically gave me a headache. I had to offer it to someone else.
Sehr schöner Duft!
Auch, wenn diese Kerzen recht hochpreisig sind, kann ich sie empfehlen. Vergleicht man diese Kerzen mit anderen Duftkerzen, ist der Preis in Ordnung. Zum einen brennen Sie wirklich sehr lange, zum anderen hat man zum Schluß ein sehr schönes Glas, in das man dann zum Beispiel eine LED-Kerze stellen kann. Gut, der Duft ist natürlich Geschmackssache - mir gefällt er sehr gut - und ich bin ziemlich wählerisch.Zwei Tips: 1. Beim ersten Anzünden die Kerzen wirklich vier Stunden brennen lassen, sonst kann es passieren, daß sie nur schlecht bis gar nicht abbrennen (ich spreche aus Erfahrung); 2. Am besten die Etiketten vor Benutzung entfernen!
