My boys loved playing this.Lots of fun and it has kept them challenged and entertained.Good for taking on the move as all folds down quite small.

Riddle Pics Night at the Movies is a fun and engaging travel trivia game perfect for families or just adults. With 101 riddles to find and solve, it offers plenty of entertainment for movie lovers. This game makes a great gift and is ideal for bringing people together for a night of cinematic fun and challenges. We really enjoyed it our 10 and 14 year old enjoyed it too although they found it abit challenging

I picked this up not really expecting too much, but it offered us a good few hours of fun. We even got a few absent friends involved via WhatsApp :DTo begin, you have some very simple rules and a huge sheet/poster that is a single scene, but features well over 100 colourful people/creatures/things.These 100 cartoony-images (riddle pics!) show you the title of a game - all you need to do is work out what the game's title is. As an example, perhaps you will have some fruit dressed up as ninjas - the game would be 'Fruit Ninja'. That's a very easy one, but some of them are very difficult. It's similar, I guess, to Catch Phrase.The quality of the poster is very good, it's huge too, so you won't 'miss' any games. I found the titles of games spanned many generations and so you had popular games from the 1970's through to games released just a couple years ago (2022). I'm in my mid 30s, so had heard of almost all the games - none were too obscure, but I think it would help a lot if you're a gaming fan. If you only have a passing interest in games, you may struggle. That said, a big part of the fun for us was having friends involved and even sending out WhatsApp messages to friends asking for help when we got stuck.The only real negative I have is that in order to find out whether you are correct with your guess, you have to scratch off a piece of foil to reveal the answer. Although this is OK, it does mean that you can't give the game to a friend to borrow once you've done it. Perhaps it would have been better to have some numbered cards you could flip over or some kind of sliding mechanism, but as the asking price is fairly low - I guess it's understandable that it didn't.So, overall, my suggestion would be to pick one up these up and invite your friends round for a game/food night! :)

Great idea but unplayable as the answer sheet will not scratch off so we cannot check our guesses!I've seen someone else's review also had the same problem on a different edition but we can't even get ours to scratch off at all to have even a glimpse at the answer!Really gutted as we wanted to take this on holiday and get some of the other editions. Glad we tried it before we took it with us!(Video game edition)

I wasn't quite sure what to expect from this game and to say I was very pleasantly surprised is an understatement. The package isn't large but everything inside the fold-out "box" (it's not a box but I can't think of a better way to describe it) is well designed and of excellent quality.The outer covering unfolds to reveal the scratch-off answers and the two items inside are the black and white, small but legible plan to show where each numbered puzzle is, and the large fold-out poster containing the vividly illustrated cartoon-like puzzles.My eyesight's not great - an understatement - and I was convinced I wouldn't be able to see the puzzles well enough to decipher them but I was wrong. I chose to work through the puzzles numerically, using the plan - and the puzzles are numbered logically, which helps to find them on the poster - and on the first pass-through didn't get many answers at all. Thanks partly to my professional life I do know a lot of book titles so eventually everything became clear.I was quite selfish with this (my family love games of all kinds) because I knew that putting the poster in the middle of a table for a group of us to look at would mean I wouldn't be able to see anything clearly enough to get any answers. So I hogged it all to myself until I finished :)What I've also done since then is type up all the answers and saved the document to my phone. The plan is to try this with a group at some point, with me acting as quiz master and awarding points as anyone gets a book title right. I haven't quite worked out all the ins and outs yet but it's a way to give the game extra usability and I don't see why the idea shouldn't work.I can definitely recommend this to anyone who likes books and trivia games and is prepared to do a little work to give it more than one life.

Great game and concept. However…. The scratch off bits need work. It’s impossible to scratch most of them off to reveal the word underneath. I can see I am not the only one with this problem. It’s not a one off either as I have more than one of these and they are all the same. It’s a real shame because it really affects play and if that wasn’t a problem then it would have 5 stars from me!

My husband and I are game geeks in our 30's so we thought we'd have this one in the bag. We had a really great evening 'playing' this game, with a couple of drinks. The puzzle of each one is good fun with them ranging between easy and hard depending on your logic. There were a good mix of old games as well as new ones (without spoilers the latest game being from 2023). You can play with children but they're not likely to recognise a large majority of the games, but there will be some they will get! Games span from console to PC so there's a good mix as well.There were a few minor misprints, a couple of the foil bits don't rub off completely making it difficult to see the words underneath. I believe there was one game that was incorrect, we were convinced it was a well known game but when we scratched it off we'd never heard of the game. A quick google brought but an obscure indie RPG maker game, so it did exist but we were both convinced it may have been a mistake.Overall, i'd highly recommend this series. We've since bought the music and book one to save for another date night. They're thought provoking fun!
