This is a great thermometer, my previous one wasn't checking properly so needed to get another one and this works of a battery and immediately comes on when you get the meat stick into position of your desired food and accurately gives the temperature of if it's cooked or still needs extra use. The digital thermometer is clear to read and so easy to use. Recommend to make sure food is really cooked well.

First impressions, thermometer is good quality and does measure the temperature nearly instantly. One negative point the QR code stuck on the front is not easy peel so has left a sticky mark, which I hope will come off without damaging the plastic over the lcd display. A bit of a shame since the overall packaging is good quality cardboard ( recyclable and give first impression of a well presented quality product)

The media could not be loaded. At the time of this review this digital thermometer is around £30When you get it it arrives in a box with a leaflet and a batteryYou need a cross head screwdriver to take the back off to put the battery in, whilst that is open there is a tiny switch that changes the display from *C to *FI wasnt cooking meat today so though I would test this on my Sunday morning coffee..When you flip the metal probe out the unit switches on with a nice clear backlit displayIt was accurate and quick to read the temperature of my drink.When I took it out of the drink, without wiping it, it was constantly remeasuring as it fell to room temperature.To save the battery, this unit shut down automatically after 30 secondsIt will shut down immediately if you close the metal probe back into the body of the unitI have stuck this, magnetically , to my hob splash back.So far I am very impressedIf you open the QR Code on the unit itself you receive a lifetime warranty , lifetime !What would have been nice was something to tell me at what temperature it is safe to eat different meats.That is not included, apparently for chicken its 74*CIf You are thinking about buying one II hope the video and review is helpful

This is a meat/food thermometer operated by swinging out/closed the probe arm, which turns on in the first instance and off in the second; as a result it's easy to get going with and efficient in its use of the battery power, one of which comes provided in the box which is always a welcome touch. The thermometer itself reads very quickly, always an advantage when cooking albeit more so I find for things on the hob rather than roasts and the like which are usually a little more forgiving in terms of timing (think a steak in a frying pan going from medium-rare to medium-ruined fairly quickly compared to a joint in the oven taking several minutes to do the same). The thermometer itself is solid and quite sturdy, the colour scheme makes it look a little like a contractor's tool admittedly but the finish is very good quality and the slight texturing of the casing makes it less like to slip in the hand. A somewhat pricey toy then, but for a certain level of cooking a good thermometer can be virtually indispensable and it's certainly less than you're likely to spend on a decent chef's knife these days!

The device arrives in a cardboard box with cardboard former. Nice to see 100% recyclable packaging. As well as the thermometer itself, there is an instruction leaflet, calibration certificate and AAA battery.At first glance, this cooking thermometer looks very expensive with many apparently similar products available at a third of the price. However a close look at the specifications soon shows why it is more expensive:-1) Speed of measurement. Most thermometers have a response time of several seconds, whereas this device has a response time of 0.7 seconds (almost instantaneous). Why does that matter you may ask? For a room thermometer where temperature changes slowly, response time is largely irrelevant. However, when you have just taken your joint out of the oven to check its temperature, you want to get it back in as soon as possible to prevent it cooling down. In that case getting a quick reading is essential.2) Accuracy. Many thermometers are only accurate to the nearest 1 degC despite having a display to the nearest 0.1 deg C. This thermometer comes with a calibration certificate and a quoted accuracy of +/- 0.3 degC.Needless to say, the device itself feels extremely well made and gives confidence it should last for many years, a fact backed up by the provided lifetime warranty.In terms of use, its a case of simplicity by design. There are no buttons to operate it, just swing out the probe to use it and swing it back in to turn it off. The display is clear and back lit and the device is washable after use. The magnets are rubberised, so it can be attached to any vertical metal surface without slipping when not in use.Overall, if you are after a truly simple and accurate thermometer to use regularly, this would take a lot of beating.

It gives me a precise temperature reading in just seconds, taking the guesswork out of cooking. The backlit display makes it easy to read in any lighting, and the waterproof design means I can use it without worry, whether I'm grilling outdoors or cooking indoors.
Fast, accurate quality thermometer
The media could not be loaded. I had a thermometer that stopped working after falling un the sink while cleaning the tip. Searched fir a water proof thermometer found the F1. I ordered based on the good reviews, but which turned out to be true. The build quality is great, there is no cheap flimsy plastic. I tested it and it is really fast and accurate! The pros: Auto on and off when unfolding/folding the tip - The magnet on the back allows you to stick it to the fridge, stove or to the side of the bbq. Auto rotate back-lit display based on orientation. Cons: none so far. Would definitely recommend.
Absolute necessity
We use this every single day! Wouldn’t want to be without it. It instantly reads the temp of our food and resets itself quickly. When not in use it goes on the side of the fridge as it has magnets on the back. Love the quick performance of this little gadget. It has a large display so it’s easy to read and I love the color.
Great tool for grilling !
You can’t do without this wonderful thermometer, reads instantly, nice probe, easy to read, magnetic and sticks to the side of the grill, very accurate. I use it all the time grilling on my Blackstone grill.
Quick Reacting large Display
I love my ThermoMaven Meat Thermometer. The handle is larger and easier for me to use compared to my old thermometer, yet easy to store as the probe folds next to the handle. The display is large and easy to read. It reacts quickly so you don't have to wait for the temperature to rise while you are holding it in a heated environment. It is also brightly colored so to be easy to find in my accessory drawer.
