Good bit of hardware with excellent connectivity.The software is fairly rubbish but it's all on a SD card so really simple to upgrade the OS and put better roms on. The game library supplied is extensive but seems to be plenty of games that were very obscure at time of release. Especially the Nintendo ones. Don't expect Mario etc. As said before though, simple to upgrade.

Ambernic have gone above and beyond to make a proper emulation device, has loads of games that run straight out the box plus you can add more with another card if you so wish, build wise it's excellent. Very happy with it.

When i first booted up the product it took awhile to turn on and i couldn't use any of the consoles that were more powerful than a SNES. Then i tried to reboot the product and it wouldn't turn on.I was angry because most of the reviews were positive. I was about to send it back but then i thought i should lookup if this was a common problem. I found out that the micro SD that came with it was cheap. I had to get a Switch 64GB micro SD and put operating system onto the new SD. After doing this it worked perfectly fine it does everything its supposed.So guys just be aware you might need to buy a micro SD for it

Product contains many many games. Great screen, easy to watch in light or dark environments. Connected to large TV via HDMI with no issues - excellent game play. Perfect for train/plane journeys. I had a query which was dealt with promptly with no hassle. I am about to buy two more for the kids.

I've had the device for about a week and my overall impressions are - it's a good bit of kit, the face buttons, sticks, d-pad and shoulder buttons all feel nice and not as squishy or as cheap as I'd half-expected. The screen is also very nice. The limited amount of time I've been able to spend gaming on it has been enjoyable.The problem and what I can't really forgive is that the default firmware that Anbernic ships the device with is complete and utter garbage. As I've seen other reviews mention, when first powering up I was simply met by the 'Anbernic' screen which stayed and didn't budge, not going to menu or allowing me to access anything after several boots. I'd anticipated this from other reviews and knew enough to reseat the micro-SD card and reset the device - worked, in, fantastic. Since then I've started saves on a couple childhood games and unfortunately, having played just this morning I'm having the same issue as at first - the device won't boot. Either cycling past the Anbernic screen to just a black display, or Anbernic screen to an 'Exiting' screen which takes me nowhere. Reseating the microSD card and resetting has unfortunately done nothing this time.What prevents me from giving 1 stars for what is effectively, a product not fit for purpose with the shipped firmware is that I was already aware of community-driven custom firmware for the device. Personally, I'd hoped not to bother with anything like this, the stock ugly clunky menus were fine for me and I wasn't fussy enough to want to go out of my way to change anything like this. I'll now be having to buy a set of two micro-SD cards and flashing a custom OS (Garlic OS) on to the thing so that it'll hopefully function as intended. A bit frustrating as this means I'll be losing progress on the games I've started and can no longer access.If you're considering buying this or any Anbernic handheld, come in to it with the expectation of updating it to Garlic OS in the first place before playing any games as disappointingly, it's a coin-flip at best with the stock firmware whether or not your device will boot to menu next time you try to start it up.

I have honestly never seen a gaming device as small as this one that had such an amazing screen! When I saw the video on the ad, I really thought it had to be a gimmick! Boy was I wrong! The screen quality is truly amazing! There are over 3000 games and it is so handy and portable! There are even games on here from various older consoles that I haven’t been able to find anywhere else for over 30 years! Getting to play them again has really brought back so many fond memories for me! This little game is absolutely amazing and worth every penny! Great buy!
Superb emulation device but check the buttons and screen before use!
Lovely device after some tinkering with firmwares. My unit has a problem with a lose screen that makes me nervous to take it on the go. The company did not answer to my email on how to fix the problem with the screen.
