5.0 out of 5 stars Effective, Natural, Great Value
This is lovely skin balm, and it seems to do wonders for my skin. Full of natural and nourishing ingredients it absorbs really well, and makes the dry areas of my skin soft and supple again. That's exactly what I want from a skin cream, not a tub of e-numbers and industrial chemicals and perfumes. This balm is scented, but entirely naturally. It has a beautiful aroma that my nose detects as mainly beeswax and lavender. So, as well as soothing my skin, it calms my mood, and relaxes me.The 100g tub is very similar in size to a traditional tub of shoe polish. A tiny mount is all I need, and a little goes a surprisingly long way. So in my case, I estimate that even with a daily application to my hands, this tub will last me most of a year. The balm is hand made here in the UK, and I rate it excellent value for money. I've used products from SERA before, and I've been consistently impressed. Top marks.
4.0 out of 5 stars Works great but might be abit expensive for some.
I'm prone to really dry skin, especially around my nose and neck! I've tried this balm for a good long while now and can honestly say that it has helped relieve dry, flaky skin around those areas. The cream has a lovely, natural smell once applied as well, it's honestly refreshing to have a cream that doesn't overwhelm you with man-made odours. For the size of the product, I'd say it's a little on the expensive side if I'm being honest. But the container that it came in, has lasted me a good 3 months now! I would say that I have been rationing the product though.
3.0 out of 5 stars This didn't help my skin condition.
For many years I have suffered from quite bad eczema, particuarly on my right ankle. It can get very red and itches like mad as well as being quite painful. Over those years I have tried many creams and the like and found a go to one that really helps a lot as long as I use it every day.Sadly, this balm did not help at all. After several days of use my ankle is a patchy red and is itching a lot. It certainly has gotten worse since using the balm which is actually a bit like a wax. it doesn't really smell of anything and the tin is quite small for, what I think, is a very high price. Not for me then I'm afraid and I will go back to my tried and tested. That said, everyone is different and what doesn't work for me might for someone else, this is just my experience.
5.0 out of 5 stars Lovely smell and feel.
This is a lovely rich balm which goes on really nicely and seems to help with my dry hands. A little too early to know for sure but results are promising. You also don't need much to get good coverage so the tin should last a good while. The smell is also very nice and not too feminine! £22.99 for 100g does seem pretty expensive so will have to see how well this works before ordering another tin. If it works well after prolonged use, then I would not hesitate about getting more. Time will tell.
4.0 out of 5 stars Sera Organics Tamanu & Hemp Cream
Really liked this Sera Organics Tamanu & Hemp Cream, it comes in a little tin and although the lid was a bit difficult to open at first, it was easy to use. You only need to apply a little bit, smells ok and have had no skin reactions after using it. Worth a try in my opinion.
5.0 out of 5 stars Worked quickly!
This 100g size tin is nice and handy, it fits in the palm of my hand so easily transportable if i need to take it anywhere with me from my handbag to anything larger. I chose to order this balm because of what it says it can do, the first time i applied it i didnt need much as a little goes a long way as as i rub it in the heat from my skin seems to make it spread so it goes much further, as such this will last a long time. With a flare up of a skin condition which is itchy trying to not scratch is really hard so putting the balm on that particular section even after the first application as taken away the redness and the overwhelming need to itch so that said with this costing £19.99 at the time of ordering this is well worth the price in my personal opinion.
4.0 out of 5 stars Tamanu & Hemp BALM
It's worth noting that, although the seller mentions "Cream" in their page .. this is definitely not a cream but a balm - essentially an oil/fat based product. As others have said .. a little goes a long way with this product. It smells nice and spreads well. As expected for this type of product it does leave a bit of an oily residue - this helps protect the skin.I suffer from dry hands and occasionally have flare-ups. I've found in the past that oil based products do not help in the middle of a flare-up as it just ends up exacerbating the itchiness, however, for the rest of the time, this is really nice on my hands and helps reduce the dryness.I do think though, that I prefer a cream - although a creams effects don't last as long, I feel they are absorbed better and don't generally leave my hands feeling oily. I'm more likely to use this for targetting specific problem areas rather than as a product to use generally.
