Great Noise Cancellation and Comfortable to Wear
This Cyber Acoustics headset is a must have if you work anywhere with annoying background noise (or barking furry friends) and need to actually hear the person on the other end of the call/conversation. The noise cancellation works like a charm to eliminate sounds that might be distracting. As an added bonus, the cushy headphone covers, padded headband, and adjustable mic make it extremely comfortable to wear.
Not helpful
Really didn’t cancel any incoming noise. I wfh with a kid and they didn’t really help. Also, they just broke today, so they lasted about 2 months. I’m a real person who actually bought these.
Not the most comfortable
Sound wise I have no complaints about these headphones. They do a good job of doing what headphones do. I can hear my computer without disturbing others.Where I'm less happy is the fit. I have a big head (no jokes, please!). I wear a size 8 hat, which is almost as large as you can go without getting custom. The band DOES extend to fit over my head, but that leaves the earpads at an angle to my head. There's pressure on the lower half of the ear and a small gap between the ear and the pad at the top. To get the pads to be roughly parallel and fit square on my head, I have to compress the adjustment to the point that they are uncomfortably tight. The pads themselves have a very small amount of pivot, but it's not enough.Another issue I have is the inline controls. On this model, they are over 6 feet away from the headset... several feet closer to the computer, in fact, than to the headset. If I want to change the volume or mute my mic, I don't want to have to reach across my desk. I want the inline controls nearby and easy to grab.
Fantastic headset
I’m absolutely thrilled with it! Here’s why...Whether I’m in a coffee shop, or working from home, this headset eliminates all background noise. I get crystal-clear calls with coworkers and friends. It works seamlessly with the programs I use - Zoom and Slack. No compatibility issues whatsoever. It's lightweight design and comfortable all-day.Overall I highly recommend it.
Noise reduction works but is always on, sounds hollow, good for call center work
This headset sadly doesn't sound as good as it could for it's price level. It does sound clear, and the noise reduction works very well, but if you are going for any warmth of body to your recording this completely kills it. It has a very hollow and tinny sounding recording. These would particularly be great for someone working from home in a call center type job where you aren't exactly going for depth but just good noise reduction and clarity. If you are someone who is looking to use this for gaming, or maybe even voice/dictation recording I would suggest finding a different type of mic and using a software noise reduction solution. If you are someone doing call center stuff at home like insurance, tech support, etc...these are actually pretty good sound quality wise. The really big on and muted button is a big plus also, it's really easy to confirm visually.Comfort wise they are so so. They aren't really heavy and there is padding on the ear portion. They feel like old school headsets back from the 1980's/90's walkman days with a fake leather material on the foam. That material will probably flake and fall apart fairly quickly from the feel of it.Sadly the images that are up of the product aren't exactly the same as what I got. It does have a USB-C to USB-A adapter, but the one on this headset doesn't have the latch that keeps it connected to the main cord. For anyone who might be bringing this to school, or using it publicly this could suck as you might lose the connector if you aren't careful. While the recording quality is a tinny and hollow, the noise reduction works really well. Sadly it's always on and you can't really test how it sounds with and without it working. I did a side by side comparison of raw audio recording straight to Audacity between this Cyber Acoustic set, a Sennheiser G650, A Hyperx Solocast, and a Audio Technica BPH-S1 and all of the other ones sounded like it had a lot more body, but did pick up the air purifier we have in the room. The Cyber Acoustic sounded very hollow but was the only one who didn't have background noise. For the price of $99 this does deliver what it promises. It does work. It's just not very comfortable and doesn't sound the best it can be. If you are want good audio quality I would suggest another solution, but if you want something that would be great for call center/WFH situations this isn't a bad product.
