Crisp, Sharp Edges - Satinara is designed to be particularly suitable for covering tall, complex cakes as it can be rolled to just 2mm thickness whilst maintaining its integrity, allowing you to create those crisp, sharp edges. This also makes it a great money-saver. Making edible decorations and sugar models such as simple roses, fondant animals, and characters can easily be achieved without additives. If you want to create more intricate models such as fine flowers or detail work, then a little tylo powder can be added to provide enhanced rigidity.
Palm Oil Free - New formulation is now Palm Oil Free and available in 1kg and a bulk sized 3kg pack sizes. If you require a coloured paste then we recommend colouring the paste with a few drops of a high quality food colour such as Colour Splash gels, pastes, and dusts. Be careful to not saturate the icing with liquid food colours as this would alter the texture of the paste. This 3 kilogram pack, supplied in a re-sealable pale, is perfect for regular cake makers or if you're making a tiered celebration cake including wedding cakes.

It's my first time using fondant and I was quite surprised with how easy it was to both shape and wrap a cake. It's quite soft when warmed in your hands and medium hard when dried. It's pure white, easy to mix with paste or liquid colouring. It's ok in taste when wrapped around the cake but I wouldn't try to eat a decoration. I'm happy with the quality and price and will definitely come back for more.

This fondant icing is of very good quality. Ism not very experienced with fondant icing and usually use store-bought brands if I have to use fondant, which I find can easily wrinkle or tear. I chose to spend more money on a better quality fondant as I had been asked if I could do a ‘fondant fancy’ wedding cake, the photo is a practice cake for that. I found it very easy to roll and work with, it stayed really smooth and didn’t wrinkle or tear. I will always use this from now on if I need to make a fondant covered cake. I have already recommended it to friends for their Xmas cakes!
