5.0 out of 5 stars Engaging and entertaining
Very good set, very engaging and entertaining.Child isn’t stuck just spelling all the time, they also have the little connect the dots games, colouring, labyrinth, etc. which makes their overall experience this much better when learning how to spell. Feels less than learning and more like play as the result.Worth it for £7.99, especially that you can use it multiple times too.

As a teacher, I'm always on the lookout for engaging ways to help my students with their spellings, and these trivia cards are an absolute gem! Not only do they make learning fun, but they're also super versatile. On one side, you've got trivia questions that challenge students to spell out words to find the answer – talk about interactive learning at its finest! It's like a mini spelling bee with a twist, and my students absolutely love it.But wait, there's more! Flip the cards over, and you've got a whole bunch of fun activities like mazes and wordle games. It's the perfect mix of education and entertainment, keeping my students engaged and excited to learn. And can we talk about the size? These cards come in a small box, making them perfect for traveling. Whether we're on a field trip or just killing time in the classroom, these trivia cards are always a hit.So, if you're a teacher looking to spice up your spelling lessons or a parent wanting to make learning fun for your kids, look no further than these trivia cards. They're a game-changer, plain and simple!

Sadly I was a little underwhelmed by this game as was my son. It's essentially just 60 hexagaonal cards with questions where the player must spell the answer. There's certainly scope here for lots of gameplay, but nothing included in the box to give ideas. As a result, the hexagonal design really doesn't add much besides leaning into the "Spelling Bee" pun. In fact due to this shape I would argue it's awkwardly shaped for travel. It's a shame since the box and it's contents are well presented. The cards themselves are not overly thick, but are sturdy enough. One side of each card has a question and the other side has an activity; colouring in, dot to dot, puzzle etc. This is a great idea and an excellent use of the back of the cards. Both of my kids particularly enjoyed this. But back to the game, all it is is a series of questions. However, ideas we came up with were:- To split into teams and see which team could make the largest/longest pattern.- Make a large shape with cards upside down and the winner is whoever gets 5 joined together (we needed tokens to denote which card belonged to each player that solved it).- See who could answer the most in 2 minutes/make the biggest shapeI think there's scope here for an actual game rather than just hexagonal quiz cards. However, the game is limited by the fact that is only 60 cards and kids are very quick to learn the spellings and memorise by rote. So there is not much replayability. I also didn't see anything to suggest which key skills level it could assist with, so the spellings don't seem aimed towards any educational level. So kids may breeze through some and struggle with others and there's nothing to indicate they are learning spellings that will develop any specific key skills/sounds besides learning random words.Overall, this is a limited product which does show some promise. I think it needs close to 200 cards (perhaps even smaller ones) and some game ideas to really be replayable and more engaging. My son who loves games has not rushed back to play this and I think it's indicative of what's on offer here. Despite all this I have given 3 stars because I really like the presentation and activities on the back of cards. I also think the price point (£7.99 at time of review) is not bad.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great for trivia and spelling
Great game for spelling and trivia loversI bought this game for my nephew who loves spelling and trivia. It’s very easy to set up and play, and the cards have different levels of difficulty, so everyone can join in. Tthe questions are fun and challenging, and the spelling words are not too hard or too easy. We had a lot of laughs and learned some new facts along the way. The game is also very portable and comes in a nice box that is plastic-free.Great game for kids and adults who enjoy spelling and trivia, and it is also a good way to practice spelling and general knowledge.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great entertainment and education!
Our family loves it!I will start with the fact that it's a game that presents really well and it can make a nice gift. The size of the box is great and ideal for travelling too. So far so good! This game is not just hours of fun but also a great wait to learn things with your children. The trivia questions will challenge your child to spell out words to find the answer and then once you turn the cards over you have other activities and games (wordle etc).Overall we like it and continue playing it!
5.0 out of 5 stars Great, compact game
This Spelling Bee game comes in a box that is an ideal size to fit in your bag and can be used to keep children entertained on long journeys.I like how rules are fluid with this game so it is up to you how you play it. The words are a good mix that will provide a challenge for children while also having words easy enough for younger children to spell. Each card also comes with an activity on the back that will provide children with more fun.A nice little game.
