    Managed to do it with 11 y.o. without a problem not having done much soldering before, but have watched youtube tutorial videos on how to solder. Instructions are clear and you can also follow a video on youtube with instructions and demo how to do it. And you get to play some retro style games at the end! Highly recommended.

    Perfect for learning.I've never soldered anything before, apart from a couple of wires.This is a great kit. It did come with 1 component missing and an extra of another. But after a quick email, I got a replacement in 2 days.so it loses a star...But I built it in an hour or so and it works perfectly...It was so much fun I bought all the other kits....

    There is quite a bit included in this kit, see attached photographs.This kit is absolutely perfect for children/adults to learn to solder correctly and at the end when built you have a small games machine that YOU built. The sense of satisfaction is great.The instructions are very detailed and there is also a video you can watch.I have built quite a few electronic projects in the past and so I'm familiar with the soldering technique but this little kit was fun to do. It's far better than just soldering components to a PCB time and time again as you have an end product that hopefully works.In conclusion, I really cannot praise this kit high enough, it is a great introduction to soldering and at the current price of £19.90 I think it is great value for money. If you have someone who is interested in soldering I would highly recommend this kit to them, it would make an ideal Christmas present for someone. I'm really impressed. 5 Stars from me.

    I've been wanting to both have and learn how to use a soldering iron for some time. I recently received a soldering iron to review and then this kit which was a perfect introduction for me.I found the instructions simple to follow and the kit is nicely designed and I think a great introduction to soldering. Just being able to successfully link this all together was achievement enough but its great that you also have a physical object at the end where you can play some games on too.The kit comes with some spares in case you do make a mistake but it does not come with any solder. I think this kit is great value at its current price of under twenty pounds.

    Time of review its at £19.90, not a bad price for a kit that can learn from, teaching you how to make electronics and the outcome..you have a retro style game... tetris, snake etc...Must notice, altho its a soldering kit, it dosnt come with a soldering ironHad my 14yo and 9yo team up together on this, they did well...altho it had some fidley steps that hubby needed to step in and help abit.. but taking in turns to work together, being patient... it worked!Good bit of fun and great for home educatingHighly recommend

    I, a nerd, am trying to product mini-nerds, and have decided to introduce them (eventually) to home-building using PCBs. Enter this kit for beginners. This soldering kit has been fantastic! It’s well put together and makes a great introduction to soldering for beginners. Each project is engaging, and the instructions are straightforward, so it’s easy to follow along without any frustration. I’ve noticed it’s also been really good for developing dexterity and patience – you need a steady hand, but it’s fun to see the projects come together bit by bit. Ideal for anyone wanting to get hands-on with a new skill. Really pleased with the quality and variety in the kit.

    This review is for ScienSta Soldering Kit for Beginners, Soldering Practice Kit with Retro Classic Games, Soldering Projects for STEM Education, Electronic Kits for College High School Students LearningI received this to review as part of the Bolo vine program.I got this kit as wanted to learn how to solder and had bought some kit but it was just sitting there as I felt a little intimidated. This was an easy way to get started, also with support from a knowledgeable relative, and is encouraging as you have retro games to play at the end.I am happy with this and will be looking for similar kits to keep me interested and learning.

    You're not buying this to practice soldering. You're buying this to share an experience with your kid or grandkid to introduce them to electronics.My grandson and I enjoyed building this kit and he takes it everywhere. Even though he has a tablet with fancy games, he built this one with me and feels all the maker's pride because this game is truly "his."Now I have to get another one so I can do the same thing with his Daddy.My only complaint is that I had to cut the 4 screws that hold the battery compartment on because they were a little too long.Otherwise, every transistor, resistor, capacitor, and switch comes with an extra just in case you mess it up. It's a very well thought out kit.
