    There are many sideboards available on the market, but not many have the nostalgic design like this one. It has been built with modern fixtures. The quality of the wood is outstanding, and has a wonderful finish and everything assembles together very accurately. It does take quite some time to put together and with the good quality, try not to rush through it. Make sure you have a good stable base when assembling so that it's not built buckled, as this will help when aligning the doors, speaking from experience.Also, don't overtighten the screws until it's all assembled. Good quality build and construction and the feet make the unit stand well and truly proud in the living room.

    The overall appearance is good - the unit looks good in the dark oak finish. This is set off with the gold finish on legs and handles.There are very clear instructions and spare bolts should you need them. You get all the tools needed to.You will need to set aside at least 2h to do this.For the most part it was hassle free until it came to adjusting the doors so that they are level and aligned to each other. In the end it just could not be done. There are just so many times you can screw and unscrew the door clamps before they will not hold the door. There just was not sufficient vertical adjustment possible to get them both in the same horizontal plane. It doesn't notice too much but this does take it down from the maximum rating. I think I spent almost an extra hour on just this adjustment without a fully satisfactory outcome.I was also disappointed that the handles are just plastic - not sure why they did this - the legs etc are metal.Overall I am happy with this but at the same time disappointed and frustrated.
