Cool design with "teeth" to get rid of hair and bits that is stuck onto the bristleswhich would be normally have to remove manually by hand.It can also become upright to be stored easily in cramped spaces - both piece clipped together.Emptying also easy, similarly for cleaning, just simply rinse or spray and wipe clean.Good product for the household, but slightly pricey at under £23.

I was looking for a set like those you see in commercial premises where you can pop it down, sweep some dirt up, lift it up and move on. These don't work quite as well as that, primarily I think because the "hinge" on the dustpan is much stiffer, meaning you need to stand on one leg and use your other foot to tilt the pan down, brush the dirt in, and then use your foot again to tilt the pan up again to stop the contents falling out. It doesn't rotate freely enough. In addition, it doesn't "lock" in the horizontal/open position very well, so if you stand it up that way to leave it for a moment the handle can start to angle sideways and droop lower and lower until it falls down. This is a bit of a drawback, but everything else seems to work well.The silicone lip along the front of the dustpan works well to stop dust and dirt being swept underneath the pan. The pan is a good size, and the "teeth" on the pan are very useful to get hair that the brush can accumulate out of the bristles. The broom itself is also effective at sweeping up small bits of dirt as well as larger items. And the handles are really long so work well even for tall people. (Though my wife thought they were almost too long for her, and I looked to see if I could remove a section to make them shorter. The handles screw together from the sections you can see in my photos.)Overall this is quite a bulky bit of kit, so I think I'll keep looking for a slightly more compact unit that swings open and closed more easily, but already this is saving me a lot of bending over when sweeping things up, and this style of dustpan does make it so much easier to sweep things up that you are more likely to do so, rather than living with bits of dirt on your floor!

Very effective. Good size, quality, sturdy and stands up by itself. Highly recommended.

This dustpan and brush set arrives in quite a small cardboard box containing a couple of plastic bags with all the bits, and a set of instructions. It's really easy to assemble by screwing the sections of the handle together, then into the respective dustpan and brush. If you are not a tall person, you can leave out one of the sections to make it a bit shorter.The whole set looks very smart. The brush is a nice quality and is angled so you can easily get into corners and the dusptpan has a high capacity. The other bit I really like is the 'comb' at the top of the pan. It's so useful for getting hair and dust bunnies off the brush and into the pan.There were a couple of small things that I wasn't keen on, nothing major, but worth noting. The brush doesn't clip onto the dustpan handle, it more slides and rests on the clip. This makes it easy to take on and off, but to me it comes off a little too easy. My other gripe was that when the dustpan is in the horizontal position, the base of the handle is supposed to clip into the pan. On mine it just doesn't do that. I really can't work out why, but it does mean that it's not at all stable in the horizontal position, which is how they say to store it. Luckily, it's reasonably stable in the vertical position too and although it takes a bit more fiddling to get the brush into the pan in this position, it can be done and then stored in this way.Overall, I'm reasonably impressed but just a bit disappointed that it doesn't clip together as it should.
