Absolutly brilliant set, great colours, and the tractor unit is fantastic, we decked the finish set with some of our speed champion sets, Porshe Spider, Ford Mustang, MacLaren, one of the cars from the set and our own 4x4 model. Fantastic set clear instructions easy to follow took us a couiple of hours but thats part of the fun.

The media could not be loaded. I have been getting alternative to Lego. It’s been a while since I built a Lego and I can see now why they are the best. The quality of the pieces is fantastic. The instructions is very easy to follow. Small steps for each page which will never leave you confused. The images are clear and big. For me, I have difficulty identifying certain colours. I have struggled with the other brands. The Lego set is very clear which piece is needed. The colours are clear.The cars are very easy to build. My son took around 45 minutes. He is 7 years old and needed some help putting certain pieces. It took me around 20 minutes to build one car. The details and movement quality is great. Cannot fault it. The truck took a lot of time. Around an hour and a half with a few external distractions. The truck once built is amazing. So much fun. The moving parts are smooth and functional. The end of the ramp did come off a few times. 3 cars and the truck, great value in our opinion.

This LEGO City Car Transporter Truck set is a fantastic choice for kids aged 7 and up. My son and me are really impressed with the end result.The attention to detail is impressive, and the final product is both sturdy and fun to play with. This Lego set is excellent for builders from ages 7 upwards. It has 998 pieces and so the build does take a bit of time, but it is a fun build as you have different parts you can focus on and split it up over the time. As with other Lego sets, the quality of the pieces is excellent. Once complete you get the car transport with tiliting cab to view the engine along with 3 cars - a 1950s drag racer, a 1970s musclecar and a modern electric car. We enjoyed seeing the different cars emerge and it was relatively easy to assemble each of them. The set also comes with 4 mini figures that you can then play with. I like how they each have their own style. I am impressed with how the car transporter moves and how you can modify the cars, I think this really enhances the playability. There is plenty to fire the imagination and play with as cars are loaded onto the transporter and you can also have races with the cars. There are a few accessories - a medicine kit and fire extinguisher in the case of a crash. We have had a lot of fun playing with the cars and the transporter, they also fit well with other Lego city sets and the road baseplates.Overall an excellent build with plenty of imaginative playability.

I've got this as a winter project, my work is quieter so I'll have time then. I don't expect there to be any issues as Lego is always fine.I can't comment on how it was to build as I'll be doing that later but it arrived well packaged with comprehensive instructions. Colours are vivid and quality is top notch. The optional stickers for the cars is a nice touch too.

My 7 year old son loves Lego and cars so this was perfect! He has a previous iteration of a car transporter with a single car, but this iteration is far more impressive. This set has a car transporter along with 3 very unique looking Lego cars (with our favourite being the 1950s roadster). This set was pretty easy for my son to build although it did take a while. Despite the cars having similar builds, they were unique enough to keep my son's attention. He really enjoyed the build however it doesn't bring much more to the table compared to the previous car transporter. The mechanism for dropping the top section is different and ensures smooth drop/lift.. This mechanism is satisfying and my son was still impressed by how it worked and how it lines up perfectly with the ramp on the lower section. The transporter can be detached from the cab and even has it's own brakes that can be manually applied/released.The truck's cab has a nice touch whereby it can be lifted up via a hinge for "servicing". The cars have their own unique personalities and another nice touch is that the front and rear sections can be removed and swapped between cars to make some unique models. Due to the colours of each car, it does look jarring, but it's still a welcome mode of play and one that my son really enjoys.Overall, this car transporter is a great build. Featuring four vehicles and four minfigures, it brings with it a lot of playability. Kids will enjoy lowering and rasing the ramp as well as pretending to service the cars and truck cab. It's a very impressive looking set and will bring the recipient lots of joy! At £89.99 (RRP at time of review), it is very expensive considering you can buy 4 really impressive Lego Speed Champions cheaper than this (if your primary reason for buying this is for vehicles). Personally I would recommend waiting for a sale, at which point this is a great set.
