    This does the job well, plugged into my keyboard USB. I just plugged it in and set up the fingerprints (Windows 11 Home). Contrary to what I read elsewhere, you can set up fingerprint login for a local account with Windows Hello. There is no need to log in with a Microsoft account. A good buy.

    The device repeatedly failed to log me in, displaying a message saying that it needed cleaning, practically every time I tried - also, it was a very tight fit in every USB port I tried it in, so much so that in trying to remove it I actually pulled the cap off, and had recourse to a pair of soft-nosed pliers to remove it - the construction appears to be very flimsy.

    It works of a fashion but more often than not I get a response suggesting that I need to clean the sensor. Cleaning the sensor makes no difference. Basically it's a heap of ......
