3.0 out of 5 stars Grat bang for buck twin tower cooler
This product very clearly is trying to compete in the same space as the thermaright and deepcool twin tower coolers and it puts up a very good fight. It is a bit cheap feeling in some ways but then again it is a very cheap item to buy compared to many other imiliar performing air coolers, so that is not a negative. The on-paper specs are almost identical to the Thermalright Peerless Asassin 120 (which is a very highly regarded aircooler and performs well above its price range). Fan rpm, air flow rate and static pressure, physical dimesnions of cooling stack are all very similair. And this cooler seems to offer a close level of performance. So this gets a thumbs up.The cooling capability of this item is significantly better than any included with cpu cooler or aftermarket single tower air cooler. So if you want that capability but dont want to spend extreme amounts of money this is a sound choice. But do be aware of fitment issues. The base plate may not be the most perfectly flat and you can feel the ridges a little as you run your nails along the plate between the copper heat pipes, so If you really wanted to go the extra mile it might be worth lapping the base plate a litle to get a better flatness to it which should help improve thermal transferThis is quite chunky and even though it is advertised as being offset design to fit all height RAM sticks. It is at the rear you need to check that your motherboards VRM heatsinks dont interfere.Mine did come a little wonky out of the box. The rear cooling tower was a little misaligned and the fins on it were a bit wonky but thats more an aesthetic thing I coudlnt care less about once its installed as long as it does the job. But thats not why I took two stars off. I took another star off becasue i dont like the fact taht both fans are hardwired together. It shoudlt be a problem hopefully but if one fan fails then you end up having to replace both fans becaus they are both permanently wired together. I would rather have daisy chain/pigtail cable so I can detach/re-attach the fans from each other.BUT for the price you cant go wrong with this item. For my main rig I use a 240mm AIO water cooler but I reckon I could get away with this twin tower air cooler if I had to IF I wasnt restricted by cooler height clearance in my small form factor case. Please do check your cpu cooler height clearance before ordering any cooler. Thats not the manufacturers fault thats on the PC builder to order the right height cooler.
5.0 out of 5 stars Quiet and efficient
Switching to this CPU cooler has significantly enhanced my system's performance. The dual fans maintain a low noise level while efficiently cooling my processor. Installation was straightforward, fitting well without interfering with other components. There's been a noticeable drop in temperature during intense gaming sessions, which was much needed.
4.0 out of 5 stars Affordable Cooler that Works Quite Well
This CPU cooler does its job ok at a very reasonable price. It is under £30 and can easily keep most CPUs cool however I would probably look for something a bit better if you have a very powerful CPU. That being said, for most people, this would be a huge improvement over the OEM cooler you get with the CPU.Installing it was quite simple like any other CPU cooler however you may need a hand if you have never done it before. You should also check the clearance with the motherboard VRAM at the rear as it is quite close to mine.Overall, this is a great air cooler and it works well. I would recommend.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great CPU cooler! Computer no longer sounds like a jet engine!
I got this CPU cooler as my AMD processor was starting to get a bit hot under the stock cooler. I’ve been recommended to look at a tower style cooler and this looked an interesting proposition. In the box was the cooler itself, along with some instructions and all of the necessary mounting hardware for my AMD processor alongside many other processor types. The mounting hardware were made of nice quality metal with a decent level of finishing, no sharp edges in sight. The main reason for getting this cooler was for the performance. I was getting thermally throttled at times, and I was worried that coming into the summer, this was only going to get worse. While playing games, I could often see the CPU temperature getting to 90 degrees C under load. This is quite scary as during the summer it will be much hotter. After installing this new cooler, I was very pleasantly surprised to see that my temperatures had come down dramatically. At idle I was now at 26C And Max, I was now hitting 70C! This is an extremely impressive margin as I had even repasted the old CPU cooler to make no difference. The design of this fan Is certainly no frills however, it is a nice minimal design and the excellent performance from this has been great. My computer no longer sounds like a jet and at idle or doing low level tasks is whisper quiet while maintain cool temperatures!.Overall, I am really happy with this cooler! It fit perfect, was easy to install and has had a massive impact on my computers temps!
5.0 out of 5 stars Good performance for the money
This is a great air cooler and I was impressed with it at this price. It has some tough competition in this space and I was keen to give it a test. I installed it onto my daughters PC, using Noctua thermal paste rather than the paste included and on a Ryzen 7 2700x it achieved results in line with the official AMD wraith cooler. It isn't overly loud and I was happy with the results.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great performance for the price
This is a nice looking cooler, black with copper heat sink piping. It’s a substantial size, but while still fitting most cases easily.Installation was very easy. It comes with an Intel bracket and an AMD bracket, so it can be installed on multiple platforms. Also included is a small tube of thermal paste which is applied to the CPU and makes contact with the heat sink, and is vital for adequate cooling. The fans plug into the motherboard using a single 4 pin PWM connector. This allows the fans to increase speed when the CPU is at higher temperatures. It provides very good performance, being good for low to mid-range CPUs. Under a stress test, it kept a 65 watt CPU at Approx 52 degrees, which is more than adequate for good gaming performance.Really happy with it - would recommend.
