5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent sound quality and ANC at a great price!
Love the transparent styling, snug comfy fit and clear, punchy sound. Noise cancelling is excellent for those noisy underground journeys. Bass is deep but not distorted or bloated. Connects easily to my iPhone. The app is also good for tuning the sound to your preferences via EQ and personalised sound profiles (even taking into account your age). Nice case and the earbuds slot in easily for charging. Very happy with this purchase as I was carrying my Bose NC700’s with me everywhere and these are now used when I need something more pocketable. Highly recommended!
5.0 out of 5 stars Comfortable and puts buds 2-3x the price to shame
Bit the bullet on the Nothing Ear (2024) since they were on £108.The fit is really nice -- the capsule design means they do actually sit in the ear a bit better than more tradition "airpod pro" style (Earfun AP4's). So they feel more nestled in there and less prone to shifting around.Driving them on LHDC v5 since i have that on my Xiaomi. Connection has been rock solid so far - no glitching/drops/downgrades. Which is better than the MTW4's manage even on AptX Adaptive (not lossless). The ANC is on part with MTW4's --- maybe a slight difference --- the Nothing's let a bit more "mid" through maybe which i feel is easier to ignore when listening to music.Certainly better than the Earfun AP4's bit a small amountThe sound signature out of the box is pleasing. Did their version of a hearing test and set that to "Rich". Dropped the bass-boost down from 3 to 2 and nudged the treble +1Essentially very punchy bass but feels very tight. EDM works really well. The Nothing App is nice, follows their aesthetic on mono + red dotted font. Very clean. Usual tweaks. Controls can be customised to a point (you get 3 options per action to pick from)Bass Boost is separate from EQ (kinda like DPP's Immersion)EQ has 2 modes, Simple (a set of 3 sliders for bass/mid/treble) or the full EQ which gives an 8 band parametric-esque EQ with frequency, amount & Q-factorThe App allows you to import / export EQ's via a QR code.Usual other stuff like ear detection, codec select, firmware updates, find my buds, low-latency/multipoint selectors etc etcI'd say for £108 these are packing a good punch and can compete well with the usual suspectsI'll say one thing for the Nothing ear too. It's the app. It's slick. It feels like someone actually cared about itFor me the Denon and Sennheiser apps feel clunky. They lag a bit even on flagship phones but the nothing app feels fluid and really well connected. It flows and doesn't feel like an after thoughtThe gestures like play pause or transparency on the buds play subtle playful tonesFeels the same with nothing phones. They really get industrial design in a way that feels super modern and fresh without being intrusive. They're like apple used to beThe charging case feels tactile and efficientReally like the whole aesthetic
5.0 out of 5 stars So far so good, & better than Bose!
I did my homework on these, and so far i couldn't be happier, beautiful sound, thumping bass, excellent anc, and the app is easy to use via a android phone, I love the way that you can feel the clicks to adjust them, rather than taps or swipes, the actual ear buds feel like a quality well made product, and stay in your ear even when exercising, they look good too, i will update my review, if anything changes, i just returned my bose quiet comfort 2 as I was having problems with them from the first few days, and the sound quality from these is definitely on a par with bose, as is the anc, and the app and ease of usability is far superior, I am very impressed with my new earbuds and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for premium earbuds at a great price!!!
5.0 out of 5 stars Nothing Ear - Confusing Generation Name but Excellent Sound
So whoever is responsible for naming these products, needs a talking too 🤣Nothing Ear 1Nothing Ear 2Nothing Ear (a)Nothing Ear 2024 - so why weren't these called 'Nothing Ear 3'? 😏If you are interested, make sure you are choosing the right ones! Now that gripe is out the way, I can say these are a fantastic buy.I bought these after trialing the B&O EX - often heralded in the wireless earbuds as one of the top dogs for sound quality, but weak for Active Noise Cancelling. My next choice was the Bose Ultra or Sony's but I thought I would give the underdog a try before splashing back out. I am thankful I did!Pros:Excellent sound - you can tweak this, but it was easy to make them warm and bassy!Battery Life - solidIP Rating - use in the gym or rainMicrophone - I use my earbuds for my job to make calls, not had a single complaint which I did with AirPods Pro 2nd Gen and B&O EX!Gorgeous looks - ultra modern, cyberpunk vibes (matches all my transparent tech)Intuitive app - with excellent customisation options for sound.Cons:ChatGPT functionality - appears to be android/Nothing phone onlyCase scratches quite easily :(Active Noise Cancelling - it's good, but not the best!Pinch Controls - these seem to either work excellently or not at all!Intermittent pausing - sometimes audio will justrandomly pause, with no tone or acknowledgment from the earbudSlow to recognise when removed from ear.---------I know I have listed quite a few cons, but for the price, looks, sound and functionality, it's an easy 5 stars 😎Good job Nothing
Great!
Great sound and great price. I like them better than my IPods.
Buen sonido
"Nothing" To Sneeze At
The Nothing (ear) are a fantastic set of wireless buds that combine form with function, marrying the British tech company's slick, translucent minimalist style with stellar, balanced sound and suitably modern features with intuitive pinch controls. The Nothing X app is similarly unobtrusive and easy to use, allowing you to set your EQ to your preference, toggle noise control and bass enhancement, as well as adjust them further to your exact preferences. Lows are strong but not obnoxious, mids are crisp, and there are some hidden details revealed in the highs that I'd never heard before. The buds themselves sit in the ear comfortably with no noticeable pressure, and they and their case feel sturdy in the hand. Calls sound good, and the ANC and transparency modes do their jobs well. The only real complaint I have is that there is some weird sound artifacting in the background when the personalized sound profile is turned on and is set above a certain threshold. Battery life is at a disappointing 4-6 hours, though the charging case can stretch out your mileage enough to mitigate this. Regardless of these minor nitpicks, I can't recommend these buds enough, especially at this price range. They might just be the pair of quality, daily driver wireless earbuds you've been looking for.
Best earbuds I've ever owned
I'm not a huge audiophile, nor do I use earbuds a ton, but a lot of that was not really finding a set that was comfortable, or worked the way I wanted them to, most of the ones I had were older, touch controlled, a weird form factor, or had severe lag making them difficult to watch videos with. So after seeing a few solid reviews, I gave these a try.Pros:- Great form factor. I like the earbud with stem form factor a lot after trying just the total in ear bud and the wrap around behind the ear style. This is totally personal however.- Solid fit - I needed the large tips, but they fit great and generally stay in unless I'm doing something either particularly motion intensive or taking off clothing that could bump them out.- Amazing Sound - As I mentioned, I'm not an audiophile, but compared to my other earbuds, these are amazing. Good sound quality and separation, sold bass without being obnoxious, and great for both calls, podcasts/youtube, an music.- Good noise canceling and pass though mode - I generally don't use passthrough mode much, but it seems to work well, and the noise canceling has been great for getting rid of background noise. Best on an earbud I've ever used.- Price - Earbuds this good used to be much more expensive. I know these aren't the only ones in their price range with this feature set now, but they're competitive at their price point with several different styles/options.- Look - I think the solid and clear aesthetic is pretty cool, but they're also not super loud (visually) so they don't scream "look at my earbuds!" either. So nice and cool but classy and understated.- Solid software - Easy to customize, control, and the software helps me grab them on whatever device I'm using. Sadly, there's no Windows app for them yet, but they work great on Android.- Easy to grab and put in the case. My sausage hands struggle with some cases, not these.- Mic quality - Solid enough mic that it picks up my voice (I have vocal chord damage, so this is an issue with some headsets that can't pick up my voice) and sound as good if not better than the phone mic on calls. I wouldn't do a podcast with them, but they're solid for calls/discord/gaming.Meh:- Controls - Pinch controls are fine once you get used to them, and better than unreliable touch controls, but I still struggle to find exactly where to pinch, and doing anything other than single pinch or hold is difficult to do fast enough at times for me so far. So, better than other ear buds I've had, but not perfect. Fortunately you can customize them easily.Cons:- Case could maybe be a little smaller? I wouldn't mind if the edges that are made to square it off a bit were a bit more rounded to reduce the size slightly. Minor nit pick.- Mic can pickup background noise - Shouldn't be a huge surprise here, it's a good and sensitive mic that's not right near your mouth, so it will pick up background noise or conversations in the room.Overall, I like them. Best earbuds I've owned, though to be fair, it's also the most expensive ones I've owned (though the $80 ones from 2019 may effectively be close). I've found they're now always in my pocket where as before I wouldn't bring earbuds with me everywhere, and I'm using them more than I expected. If you like the style and the price is right, then I'd highly recommend them. You'd probably have to spend quite a bit more to get significantly better, so these are a great value for full featured noise canceling earbuds.
Exelentes!!!
