At their current price, the Bose QuietComfort headphones stand out as one of the best quality/value options on the market. They excel in almost every category, delivering potent sound quality and impressive active noise cancellation (ANC) that immerses you in your audio. The lightweight design and plush earcups make them extremely comfortable for extended wear, and the well-placed, easy-to-use buttons are a joy to navigate.If I were to highlight any drawbacks, it would be the underwhelming packaging, which feels a bit low quality for a premium product, and the tendency for the earcups to warm up your ears, especially during hot weather.

I have been one of those who always purchased cheap £25-£50 headphones, I have a draw full of them!, Hot, uncomfortable, tinny sound, poor build quality. Why pay £200? As soon as you put these on you realise why, firstly great noise cancelling, we don't appreciate how much noise surrounds us. Light and comfortable, you can happily wear them for hours, and most importantly the sound quality, It's like having a whole new music collection, bringing out detail in music I had not previously experienced. I like the fact you can buy replacement ear pads should you ever need them.

They are so comfortable and light you can’t feel them on your head at all. The bass is good at low levels but when you raise the volume you lose the bass but keep the incredible clarity. I have some other mid range headphones that are much better bass range but they aren’t as clear, they aren’t comfortable and fall off when I go to stand up. I wish they could handle the bass at a higher volume but the sound clarity is insane especially when watching a video on YouTube and some songs you’ll hear sounds you didn’t know existed on the songs they are unique in that sense. I’m happy with them and will hopefully get a good couple of years till the ear pieces start to fall apart. I have a big beard which doesn’t help. The quiet mode is so quiet you can’t hear anything from outside. I just took mine off and there’s a huge storm outside and I had no idea. I tested them for EMF radiation from the Bluetooth and it’s totally in the safe zone too compared to other brands. Almost zero

I needed a pair of high quality noise cancelling headphones. Of course Bose were the first brand to come to mind and the second was Sony. As a result I bought both this pair of Bose headphones as well as the Sony WH-1000XM4s.Build quality:Straight off the bat, the build quality of the Sony was better. The hard case is a very nicr case and the actual headphon material is incredibly sturdy and impressive.By comparison, the Bose headphones feel almond flimsy and cheap (more on this soon).Sound quality:The sound quality from both headphones is pretty good, with some songs sound better on one and some on the other. What impressed me was the Bose headphones sound very similar to my high end Sennheiser open-back audiophile headphones. But I will say they don't sound as good if listening on iPhone compared to a PC - though I reckon that has more to do with IPhone's Bluetooth audo than it does the headphones.Noise cancelling:I'd read everywhere that Bose QC and Sony XM4s were some of the best noise cancelling headphones on the market, but to be honest they're both okay. In some scenarios you can barely tell the noise cancelling is on and in others it's outright miraculous. I believe (and I don't know for sure) that what's happening is certain quieter noises are not picked up by the mics in the headphones and thus your only getting the passive cancelling of the ear cups. Basically the louder the noise, the better it's cancelled out.Features:Here the Sony XM4s just win hands down. Other than a pretty basic EQ on the app, talk mode button and multi-device Bluetooth connection, the Bose headphones don't have any additional features. The Sony on the other hand have many features, some more useful than others but they're there. Overall in terms of the tech, the Sony is a couple of generations ahead.Comfort:Here the Bose lives up to it's name. It is probably the most comfortable pair of headphones I've used and I've used many. While the light weight makes the build quality seem less robust than the Sony, it helps massively when it comes to comfort. You can easily wear the Bose QC all day and not even remember they're on you.The Sony isn't exactly uncomfortable HOWEVER the Sony cups are very shallow and they press on my ears which can cause soreness and ear fatigue. My partner's who has smaller ears than me has reported that she has not experienced this. But if you have medium-large ears, the Sony can be pretty unbearable.Battery life:The battery life for both headphones is actually very good. I've only charged them once like a month ago and they're still not at halfway yet. Though I'm not using them constantly. I probably use them 2-3 hours a day.Design:This is very much subjective but I think the Sony are the better looking pair. The Bose don't look bad by any means but they lack the extra detail that the Sony has.Conclusion:In the end, despite the better features and better looks of the Sony, I have opted for the Bose. The comfort is just hands down unbeatable and I'll happily give up the extra features for it. I did not return the Sony XM4s like I had originally planned, because my partner doesn't have any comfort issue with them. As such she prefers them to the Bose outright. Myself, I'm sticking to the Bose all the way.

I've owned a lot of headphones and the sound quality on these are great, the noise cancelling is brilliant. I've had no issues with connectivity to my phone or other devices. I've had them for over a week with 3 to 4 hours use each day and still haven't had to charge them with them showing 20% battery life.They fit very well and the bad is very comfortable, the pads on the ears are also very comfortable but after a few hours can make my ears sweat.

Bought because my cheaper ones felt too hot after wearing for more than half an hour. These are really lightweight and comfortable to wear for hours at a time. No overheating or cushioning that's too soft/smothering. The noise cancelling is decent and phone call quality is fine. Music quality is what you'd expect for that price range too. Overall very happy.
Bloody expensive
Hubby loves them he is hard of hearing he is able to get better range of sound. Very expensive cost more than the 50" tv I bought him.

Switched from an older version and it’s worth the upgrade, mainly for the battery life. Love them and I don’t mind the soft case since the price was a great deal

Ce casque est vraiment une pépite !En terme de confort, il est juste parfait même si certains pourraient trouver qu'il ne serre pas assez. Cependant, pour moi, c'est l'idéal car je ne support pas un casque qui serre trop et enfonce mes branches de lunettes sur les points de contact.En terme de réduction de bruit, cela ne rendra pas l'open-space totalement silencieux mais au moins, tout ce qui est bruit de fond (par exemple, untel qui lance une impression qui va vider une rame de papier alors qu'on est pas loin de l'imprimante ou le conditionnement d'air du bureau qui peut être parfois bruyant).Niveau son, il faudra apprécier la signature Bose car elle est présente ! Si vous cherchez une fidélité parfaite, passez votre chemin (ou amusez vous avec l'équaliseur) même si dans l'absolu, la signature bose reste plutôt agréable !Pour ce qui est connectivité, rien à dire pour mon usage qui est d'avoir mon téléphone (musique/...) et le pc du travail (prise d'appel/visio). Le switch se fait sans souci, même si je trouve que c'est un peu plus lent que la concurrence, même si rien de bien méchant !Concernant l'étui souple, honnêtement, soit j'ai le casque sur la tête ou autour du cou quand je suis à l'extérieur, soit il est dans mon sac à dos laptop et l'absence de rigidité de l'étui n'a aucun impact. Après, si le transport se fait dans un fourre-tout, mieux vaut payer plus cher pour l'étui rigide !
