When this apron arrived, my boyfriend was out in the garden smoking a batch of ribs. Neither of us are particularly neat cooks, so I wasted no time in taking it out of the package and putting it straight on him.What really caught my eye about this apron was the non-tying over-the-shoulder strap. With my long hair, I always struggle with aprons that tie behind the neck, as they tend to get tangled up and cause knots and pulling.I was also pleased to find that the apron had a suitably masculine look for him to wear. He often complains about staining his shirts when he sauces the ribs towards the end of cooking, so having a proper apron was a relief. He was also delighted with the addition of pockets, perfect for holding our thermometer and basting brush.Both of us are quite tall – I'm 5’9” and he's 6’ – so finding aprons that fit well can be a challenge. However, this apron fit him perfectly and will likely fit me just as well.After its first use, the apron inevitably got covered in sauce, but it washed out perfectly fine and didn't lose its shape. Considering the price, that's excellent value for money.

To begin with, I wasn't quite sure what to make of this apron. It has a very thin plastic feel to it and the patches of material on the side aren't quite as functional as made out.However, I then remembered that this is currently priced at £3.99 and for that price, its actually pretty good. It doesn't feel like it will necessarily last a long time but again, you can't really expect a long lasting high quality apron for £3.99.It's a good value apron that does its primary job - stops your clothes getting food and ingredients on while cooking. Thumbs up from me.
