Absolutely delightful travel painting set. This is so small and easy to pack away. It's great for travel and painting on the go. My only gripes are that the paint blocks are loose and will move around especially if in a bag so you may get stray chips everywhere. A tissue over them helps. Also they are described as half pans and I'm not sure how easy it is to get refills. I'm not familiar with Derwent watercolours as I prefer to paint with acrylics but I have been keen to try watercolours when travelling. It appears to me that refills might be full pans, so not sure how these can be refilled. The set is overall very good quality and includes everything you need to get started. The colours included are really vibrant and a great choice for a kit like this.I'm impressed with this set overall, despite my minor gripes. And I think it offers good value for money too.

This is quite expensive for what is realistically just a small water colour paint palette.I like the idea of having the water in the pen and being able to use the lid to mix colours while on the go but it is very small and limited in it's uses.

This Derwent Watercolour Paint Pan Set of 12 easily holds 12 half pans, plus a sponge and a small brush. I am sure it could hold another full row of paint pans. It fits easily into a small purse I have along with a sketch book. Offers me what I needed.
