5.0 out of 5 stars Great Value
Great price and very quick. A great buy in my opinion.
4.0 out of 5 stars Great starter/ mid tier Laptop
Bought it to replace wife's previous run down HP. She wanted to have same as mine brand this time as have rolled with DELL last decade.Impressed with the feel and finish. Better than my last Gen with I7 and NVIDIA graphic card. Went with AMD5 this time. Frankly would have gone with 3 but got 5 on prime for about the same price so why not!Smooth keys as well as decent processor to do the regular things online .ost people get done. Over twice as good battery than my 5 year old I7 as expected.Gripe: the Microsoft log in! So our kid managed to lock her out of the account for a mo th by trying to log in multiple times. (That's what I've been told). Have asked for a reset of sorts and with missing passwords in the path that will be month break in between. I didn't explore that as her thing to manage. But I did note it had Microsoft log in at the start. (Might be a lawsuits down the road?).Liked it overall and will consider one down the road for the price as daily runner that's a step up from Chrome books with minimum cost.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great laptop
Did not mention in the listing but the screen is actually 120hz and is set to be automatically, great suprise especially for an unbeatable price
5.0 out of 5 stars Good basic machine for the average user.
Bought on 24th August during the recent limited time deal and cost £299 noticed on Friday it's now £399.I've had 3 Dell machines over the last 15 years and always been very pleased with them W7, W10 and now this one W11. The W10 still going strong. One reviewer said it's too slow to boot up, testing mine over past week it's quickest boot time was 16.3 seconds and the slowest 22.8 seconds, what do folks expect, after all it's a budget machine. I think thats more than acceptable. It's whisper quiet too. It's very quick to operate apps.Mine has 512 Gb SSD storage but with the OS and the recovery partition and bloat added by Microsoft and Dell in reality you get a little under 400 Gb, I've added a new external Crucial 500 Gb SSD (480 Gb) I had knocking around that I bought last year off Bolo for about £30 so I now have 1 Tb (880 Gb) so I've more than enough storage.Someone says it's not very good for gaming, it's a budget machine, industry reviewers say if you're into playing games, don't buy it. Another moaner said he kept being pestered by MacAfee to buy virus protection and he surrendered and bought a years subscription, well why didn't he just delete the blessed thing, only takes a minute or two and it's got Windows Defender anyway which is fine for the average user.I'm 72, use mine for email, surfing and buying stuff and stream a lot of stuff too because TV is basically 90% crap, if you're a hedge fund manager and broker I reckon you'll need something a bit more robust and MacAfee, although other anti-virus programmes are available!
1.0 out of 5 stars Product Description Is Wrong...
I specifically needed a Backlit keyboard for ease of use in darker rooms so Ordered this Product based on the Product Description of Special Feature: Backlit Keyboard. When it arrived the Keys didn't light-up; checking the BIOS this Model doesn't have that type of keyboard. Avoid this Product is backlit Keyboard is on your 'Must Have' features.
