5.0 out of 5 stars High quality Trackpad. Best using a single monitor.
The media could not be loaded. I bought this wired trackpad as an alternative to my standard mouse. Though considered ‘oversized’, it was not out of place on my large desk. As a Plug-and-Play device, I plugged it into my Windows 11 PC, and it was ready for use within seconds. The trackpad's surface was smooth and the multi-touch feature was very responsive. This ProtoArc T1 Trackpad is fully functional but unsuitable for my needs. I have two monitors on my desk and as much as I tried, I could not easily and repeatedly navigate the cursor across the screens without using both hands! However, as I could find no fault with the design, or functionality (especially while using a single monitor), I can confidently recommend this trackpad and award it 5 stars.
4.0 out of 5 stars Just one minor defect
A great alternative to a mouse, if you already like using the trackpad on a laptop. I've enjoyed using it but there is just one minor defect - it is not as responsive as those built-in trackpads on laptops I've used. I have to move my fingers a bit between taps if I tap quickly, or nothing would happen.
5.0 out of 5 stars Fit for purpose
As described.
5.0 out of 5 stars works well with both Mac & iOS
it works well with both Mac & iOS
1.0 out of 5 stars Faulty and can’t contact the seller
Says this is faulty and it’s only 1 week past the 30 days return window. I can’t get hold of the seller either..
4.0 out of 5 stars Decent trackpad accessory for Mac though with a couple of limitations
This is a high quality trackpad for a desktop Mac – not much point in attaching it to a laptop since the built-in trackpad is probably better and more convenient. The size of the trackpad is 16 x 12 cm, which is the same as Apple’s own Magic Trackpad, but this is wired, unlike Apple’s item. Other feature differences are that this is wired, not wireless, and does not support Force Touch. Like the Apple device though, it is slightly sloped towards you. The ProtoArc trackpad support all the usual gestures, such as three-finger drag, if enabled in system settings.Something else I noticed is that the pressure needed to register a click is greater than on most trackpads. If you use tap to click this does not matter, but if you prefer an actual click this takes a bit of adjustment. The overall quality is impressive, with a smart box, nicely presented short manual, and support information. The USB cable fits both USB-C and USB-A with an attached adapter. The cable is braided and looks like it will last. Will you miss Force Touch? Probably not; it is hardly essential. The wire is a bit of a nuisance though, having said which it is nice to know that there is no battery to wear out. A good value alternative to Apple’s item.
5.0 out of 5 stars This is the wireless trackpad I've always wanted for Windows
Maybe just as good as the Apple one
2.0 out of 5 stars Registers incorrectly on a MacBook
When you search this product up it comes up for MacBooks but then doesn’t work - registers as a keyboard so it won’t let you scroll. I’ve sent back for a refund to buy an official Apple one instead. Although if it did work it would be nice for a windows computer as it is a nice design.
