5.0 out of 5 stars Good source of zinc, but put it in a drink
Zinc is one of those minerals which is really quite good for the body especially for men's health so that is why I got this to try. This comes in liquid form and is administered via pipette. Ideally I'd recommend that you put this with food or into a strongly favoured drink like juice or squash. It claims that it is flavourless but I put a pipette full under my tongue and it was quite foul. It felt like my tongue was folding in on itself. However, putting such a small amount in a drink or a meal would be basically non noticeable. As with all these supplements, it takes a period of time for them to kick in, and you never know quite what is giving you a boost especially if you're taking a variety of supplements. By which time I've missed the deadline to evaluate this. That said what I've read about, my initial impressions, intuitions and feelings, it looks really good and it seems to be a good source of zinc. The packaging and formulation of the bottle look very professional and it seems quite good value for money. With 60 doses in one bottle, which should be enough for two months of daily dosage. I can't say anything negative about this product except for the foul taste if you have it on its own really, so I'm happy to give this five stars.
3.0 out of 5 stars I can’t tell whether it’s working but..
It’s not an easy ‚taste’ to ingest, feels weird in the mouth and I did get tonsillitis or another kind of throat / tonsils infection / virus despite using it
4.0 out of 5 stars Not a GMP product and contains a preservative and thickener
The Ionic Zinc Liquid Drops arrive in a printed cardboard box. Printed on the box are the directions for use, the nutritional information and the best before date (07/26).There is no GMP logo on the product - GMP is important for product quality.60 ml of zinc sulphate solution is in a glass bottle stoppered with a glass pipette. The suggested dose in 1 ml per day (15mg). I presume that they mean elemental zinc as zinc sulphate is only 23% elemental zinc. Zinc sulphate is absorbed but is not the most bioavailable zinc salt.Zinc is important for the immune and metabolic systems and if you are vegetarian you may need to periodically supplement with zinc. Zinc is also involved in testosterone production so a low zinc diet has been shown to reduce blood testosterone levels.Too much zinc over a long period of time may be a risk in males - but I think that is a weak study - so I won’t go into details - but can be looked up.There is a claim on the packaging that this is a vegan product - it is thickened with glycerine (which ca be plant derived or produced synthetically (not stated) and potassium sorbate is the preservative. At a price of £10.00 it is a medium priced supplement and as drops can be added to food as well as drinks.
5.0 out of 5 stars UK company, mid range priced.
This review is for the Ionic Zinc Liquid Drops | High Strength 15mg Zinc Supplement from Zinc Sulphate | 900mg Per Bottle - 60ml Liquid Drops | Suitable for Vegetarians & Vegans | by Horbaach. These arrived safely in a printed box and are delivered in a dropper format. I love that they originate from the UK and the taste is familiar as I have tried zinc in liquid form before. I appreciate the 2 year use by date. These are priced as a mid range product.
5.0 out of 5 stars Works well for me
Seems to be a good balanced formula, easy to use, the pipet could be a little more accurate but you get pretty much the same amount with every pipet full so it's not too bad.Doesn't have a bad taste and as I love the fact its100% natural and vegan.Works well, and will continue using it.
1.0 out of 5 stars It tastes foul
I have no idea if it worked, I couldn't take using it more than once. The bottle says unflavoured, however I disagree. It most certainly has a flavour, a terrible flavour. If you can find a drink strong enough to hide it then go for it, but after one use I couldn't force myself to suffer another pipette straight from the bottle.
3.0 out of 5 stars Zinc Sulphate in Liquid form
This is a liquid form of Zinc which provides higher absorption compared to tablets or capsules but they are also using Zinc Sulphate which is a lesser absorbed form of Zinc compared to others. So the liquid form will support in increased absorption but the actual sulphate form is not absorbed as well. In essence these are balanced out.In my view I would prefer a more absorbed and more gentler to the stomach version of Zinc compared to this.
4.0 out of 5 stars Iron and Zinc Power Combo — Super Supplement — Radical Results — Terrible Taste
Powerful combination of both iron and Zinc that can be easily administered under the tongue for maximum, fast absorption. The results are radical but the taste is terrible.
