5.0 out of 5 stars Great supplement
Really great supplement for vegans , thank you , I love it
5.0 out of 5 stars No Fish Required
I guess the fact that Omega 3 actually comes from algae would have most normal people wondering why you would have to kill a fish that's eaten the algae to then get yours, seems a bit silly really, but these are fantastic and even better than the vegan ones we had before. Great to know that for just a few pence a day you're assured that you're getting what you need.

Excellent product.
4.0 out of 5 stars Expensive for what they are.
The media could not be loaded. I usually take my Omega 3 as a fish oil capsule - they're usually the cheapest form to take it in, but some brands do give 'fishy burps' which are not pleasant! These are Vegan Omega 3 - I'm not vegetarian or Vegan (clearly) but I'm not averse to using Vegan supplements. The ingredients list is a bit surprising - I expected algal oil, but I didn't expect sunflower oil, rosemary extract, tocopherols (vitamin E but no indication of source) and ascorbyl palmitate (a fat soluble form of vitamin C, no indication of source). I'm sure there is a reason for these additions but I don't know what it is. As you'd expect the capsules are gluten, GMO, yeast, sugar and lactose free and as a bonus are manufactured in the UK to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards. When I opened the bottle I gave it a good sniff (as is my wont) and while there was no fishy odour there was an aroma of something else - it most reminded me of the smell you encounter when you open up a fresh tin of gloss paint, don't know if that's the bottle or the capsules - individually I didn't get the smell from the capsules. They're easy enough to swallow and are taste free. The recommended dose is two capsules per day - I usually take one 1000mg cod liver oil capsule per day (100mg DHA and 80mg EPA), these have 400mg DHA, 200mg EPA and also 66mg DPA so I'll only take one per day which is half the recommended dose - since they claim to have a superior potency to fish or krill oil I think that should be fine for me.At £18.97 for 90 capsules (as at 28 August 2023) which is 45 days supply at recommended dosage and works out at just under 43p per day, I think these are expensive, and to be honest I'll be looking for similar but cheaper. I hope they're worth it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to swallow vegan capsules
Studies show that taking Omega-3 is good for overall wellness, brain and heart health, combatting anxiety and depression, and reducing the risk of age-related macular degeneration by keeping eyesight healthy. These vegan-friendly capsules contain Omega-3 derived from a sustainable algae source, an alternative to Fish & Krill Oil. The shell is made of glycerol. They deliver a 400mg DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid), 200mg of EPA (Eicosapentaenoic Acid) and 66mg of DPA (Docosapentaenoic Acid) dose. The capsules are easy to swallow, with no fishy taste or aftertaste, which is great! In addition, they are free from Gluten, Yeast, Lactose and are GMO-free.There are 90 capsules, at 2 a day these will last a month and a half, providing a 550mg daily dose.
5.0 out of 5 stars Small soft gels with no harsh taste...
These omega 3 capsules come in a plastic bottle which has a sealed lid and then a foil seal over the opening. They have a long best before date of 3 years so they can be kept for a while before use. The soft gels are smaller than my usual ones and they are very squidgy. The outer gel has a slight taste but it has a little sweetness to it so is fine to pop in your mouth before swallowing with some water. You get a 6 weeks supply if you take the recommended 2 a day and they cost a little more than I'm used to but it's nice to have a smaller soft gel to swallow so for me, it's worth it.
