I got this mainly for outdoor use at home and at the caravan.The overall quality of the components is pretty good, particularly the horseshoes, which were surprisingly heavy. There are pointed stakes for use on a lawn or at the beach and also smaller stakes with rubber mats for indoor surfaces. I have astro grass in my back garden so the indoor stakes will be used there also when the weather allows it. We've used it so far indoors and on the caravan decking and it turns out to be a tad competitive! There are suggested scoring systems included in the instructions but you can derive your own system if you prefer.Also included in the box is a netting style carry bag so it's easily stored away without have to resort to using the box.Its a good game, especially when combined with other games to create a games day.

Great fun for the garden, nicely weighted for throwing and brilliant quality, we have had so many laughs trying to be good at this. Totally different type of garden game. Totally recommended 👌

Really pleased with this game. Indoors, the base and posts are sturdy and heavy enough to stay where they are when you throw the horseshoes at them. The horseshoes themselves have a good bit of weight to them too, but not so much that younger players can’t enjoy it too. The game itself is pretty simple but lots of fun and kept us entertained for ages whilst it bucketed it down with rain outside. Once the rain stopped we tried it outside and it was even more fun as we increased the distance, making it more challenging. The plastic posts for outside can be a bit tricky to get in the soil, especially if the ground is hard and do leave some holes, but not so much that it’s a problem. I think this game will come into its element on the beach and can’t wait to try it out on the sand! The carry bag is a fab addition and the netting means you don’t have to worry about putting the things in wet as they can still air dry once put away. Great fun for the whole family and would recommend.

OK got this as a great family game and as a party game whenever we have anyone over. The plastic posts and the rubber stands make it quite robust wherever you are. Doing this indoors in a short distance is pretty easy, go outdoors and we can do it on the patio while the grass is pretty sodden with the rain and ultimately when we get the artificial grass installed then we can use it in much the same way. As we live not far from the beach then this will also be an option when the weather gets a little better.The horeshoes are quite nicely weighted and allow for even the younger players to get involved. This is one the games that's quite common on the continent when you go on holiday and there are some forms of entertainment, so practising here gives the kids an upper hand.Comes with a handy carrying bag so transporting to the beach in the spring/summer will be good.

The first thing I noticed is how much heavier this was than I was expecting. It's not a bad thing, it shows that the entire thing is well-made. Anyone familiar with this game will know what to expect, so I'll go through a couple of good and bad points.It's a nice idea that you can have a set that can be used inside and out. It's easy to set up and use either option, and it doesn't take long to do. It is good to challenge each other, and it's great at what it does. As already stated, I cannot fault the quality in the slightest.There are a couple of negative aspects, so I've given this four instead of five stars. Firstly, if used indoors, it's probably better suited to a carpeted room. The horseshoes can bounce on a hard floor, making it a little hard to hit the peg. The only other real negative is that at the price of £24.99 (at the time of reviewing), it would have been nice to get a few more horseshoes. With only four included, you are forever going back and forward.So in summary, a quality, fun game that's made well, however, I question the value for money given the number of horseshoes included.

Well this a super fun game for young & old. It's good value being a substantial & well made kit.I had a great laugh testing it indoors, and am looking forward to using it outside when the weather gets better.The red spikes are the pins that you would push into the lawn, for indoors yellow pins & securing washers are provided. To be honest I reckon the the yellow pins are much more robust so I will probably use them outside too.I think kids could use this with minimal supervision but while the horseshoes are stiff but bendy rubber they do weigh 130g and as a projectile need to be be kept away from anything fragile or breakable!The instructions are provided in English & French but in summary: First to 21 points wins. 3 points for a pin within the horseshoe { Cannot be done! :) } 2 points for a horseshoe touching a pin {Cannot be done! :) } 1 point for a horseshoe on a mat {Can be done! Yay me! :) }Good fun, good value, Recommended.

The media could not be loaded. We really liked the idea of this game.Making the horseshoes with thick rubber is great in terms of safety with kids - however if you throw a bit hard they bounce! Unless you are playing in the beach or a sand pit.The indoor poles need to have some rug gripping additions at the bottom because when you hit them with the horseshoe they get displaced so spoils the game. The outdoor kit has piles that will dig into the ground so won't go anywhere but they look less sturdy - will try when the weather allows.Overall, it is a game designed for little kids who don't have much strength but promotes physical skills and some competition in a safe way indoors. Perhaps a but high in price for what it gives at currently £24.99
