About this item:
Raw Farm Wildflowers Honeycomb is a bee product derives from a virgin acacia forests sources native to North-East Bulgaria. The honeycombs are collected and packaged straight from the hives in their original form. The honeycombs are Never Processed or heated in order to maintain all vital nutrient qualities of antioxidants, pollen, enzymes, vitamins, and amino acids. The bee colonies are treatment-free which keeps the original and authentic quality of their products. We do not feed our bees, because they have enough honey and pollen remaining in the hives to keep their normal living.

The media could not be loaded. I've been on a bit of a mission these past few years, trying to educate my friends and family on the importance of buying genuine honey and supporting local beekeepers. Sadly, most of the honey you find in supermarkets is either low-quality or made up of older honeys from various unknown sources, often blended with sugar syrup. In fact, a recent investigation revealed that up to 46% of honey imported into Europe is suspected to be fraudulent, which is an alarming statistic. If you take a closer look at the labels on these supermarket honeys, you'll often see phrases like "A blend of EU and non-EU honeys" or simply "A blend of non-EU honeys." This is often a clever way for unscrupulous companies to bypass regulations and dilute their products with cheaper, lower-quality honey or sugar syrup, particularly from regions outside of the EU where regulations are less stringent. They then market these products as premium honey, deceiving consumers who believe they're purchasing a higher standard.Real honey is a precious, labour-intensive product, both financially and in terms of time and effort. So, when you come across honey being sold for just a few pounds, or even as low as 75p in some UK supermarkets, it should raise red flags. There's no way quality honey can be sold at such low prices.Without proper regulation, it's impossible to know what’s really in the honey you're consuming. Many of the cheaper options are so heavily processed, pasteurised, and ultra-filtered that you're essentially just eating flavoured sugar syrup, stripped of all the natural benefits honey should offer. This is why it's essential to always check the label and, where possible, buy local honey or source your honey from reputable suppliers who provide raw honey and honeycomb. Your taste buds and your body will thank you!I’ve been buying honey from local UK suppliers for years, so ordering honeycomb from Bolo was a first for me. I was slightly hesitant as this honeycomb is imported from Bulgaria, and I wasn’t sure what kind of handling or temperature conditions it would endure during transit. However, seeing that it’s certified organic and straight from the hive, I decided to take the plunge, and I’m thrilled I did!The honeycomb arrives in a beautifully rustic wooden frame, protected by tight plastic wrapping to prevent any spillage. The packaging was impressive, and the honeycomb arrived in pristine condition. Collecting honey in this consumer-sized wooden frame means it’s untouched by human hands or machinery, and you can taste the purity.I was excited to dive in, and the honey did not disappoint. It has a wonderfully subtle flavour that doesn’t overpower like some wildflower honeys can. It’s more complex compared to your standard Acacia honey, with floral notes that are delicate yet distinct. For me, the experience of eating honeycomb directly is an absolute treat, and this one is among the tastiest I’ve had. If you’ve never tried honeycomb before, this is a great place to start. One of my favourite ways to enjoy it is on toasted sourdough with clotted cream, pure heaven! It’s also perfect in lemon tea, where the subtle floral undertones come to life. What really impressed me was the value for money. I purchased the 400g size at £9.90, which, while more expensive than supermarket honey (if you can even call that honey), is absolutely worth the price for organic, raw honeycomb. The quality and taste are leagues above anything you’ll find in a typical supermarket. Plus, to have it delivered to my door the very next day felt like a bit of a luxury. In terms of authenticity, I read some reviews before ordering, and a few people mentioned that the honeycomb can appear dry. This is completely normal for real honeycomb as it's wax after all, designed to secure and protect the honey. The ultra-soft combs you see in supermarket jars are usually sitting in syrup, so this is the real deal.I also want to mention that if you find a small insect in your honey packaging, don’t panic. It’s likely wax moth larvae, which are common and don’t mean the honey is bad. Honey is produced by thousands of bees that live in wooden hives in nature, so encountering insects occasionally is normal. In fact, their presence is a reassurance that the honey is truly organic and raw. I found one in my first pack, but it didn’t bother me. It’s a small price to pay for the purity and quality of the honey.Overall, I’m beyond happy with this purchase. I’ve already ordered two more packs to fill up my honey jar! The service was fantastic, with fast delivery and a product that exceeded my expectations. If you’re looking for truly authentic, organic honeycomb, this is the one to get. Highly recommended!Thank you for taking the time to read my review. I hope that you found it helpful and that it assists you in your decision-making. I try to be as honest and fair as possible, as those have always been the reviews that helped me the most.

5.0 out of 5 stars 5 star for this one
Love this honey, i have tried a few different honeycomb from various places and this is definitely the best, really fresh great size for price and great quality,
5.0 out of 5 stars very delicious 💯
it is pure honey, so delicious. I sprinkle grated cheddar cheese and enjoy eating the balance between sweet and salt.
2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed
I didn't realise the honeycomb came from Bulgaria. Happy to try it though I found it didn't taste anything like the honey from it's neighbouring country, Turkey. It has a chemical kind of taste. Will be more careful what I order in future.
Hingucker
Sehr lecker
Sooo lecker
Kein Honig sondern Zuckersirup!
