    The build quality is substantial. I was shocked at the quality for this price point. The jump lead assortment is really a bonus! And to add icing to the cake, the large battery clamps and DC cable are an awesome feature. No more trying to keep power on the battery cables when needing to remove battery for maintenance...Now I can use my oscilloscope to monitor CAN bus activity easily.

    What is most important for me is the quality of this tool.

    I purchased this to do side work for mechanics. I compared it to others and compared to the older models this is an updated version without the voltage reading but does it job as it designed to be. I have used this a few times and it works as it should. The price hit the bill and in the future I might upgrade to a more expensive but for now this will work.

    Great Diagnostic Tool When You Need It

    This breakout box functions well for monitoring OBDII communication and diagnosing faults. The standardized 4mm jacks are convenient for connecting test probes and multimeters as needed. The included alligator clamps can easily be connected to a supplemental battery and connected to the DC input jack to supply up to 2A of power to the vehicle via the OBDII port. That DC jack is internally connected to pins 4 and 16, which are GND and +12V respectively.The build quality is very good for a device at this cost and the included set of jumper wires is a nice bonus. The unit is branded AUTOOL, as another reviewer mentioned, and they specialize in various automotive testing tools. An integrated voltage display would have made this perfect.

    The breakout box worked well. It comes with a nice assortment of jumper wires. I first used it to jump the data line from a Ford 4 pin ABS connector to the unused pin 7 on the OBDII, to read 4W ABS codes on 1995 E-350.
