4.0 out of 5 stars Big capacity
I swapped out my old cable organisation box for this one and I'm very pleased with it. The capacity is generous, it easily fits the multiple laptop and monitor plugs under my desk. The holes allow very good ventilation. The material is quite shiny, but an attractive shade. The things I think could be improved:You can only feed cables out to the side of the box, not directly behind. I'd have preferred if the cables left out of the back of the box, but this isn't the case. The lid just sits on the box, it doesn't clip down or anything. If you are near capacity and need to squash some cables down, this lid will just lift off. However it's overall a decent bit of kit that makes under my desk look a lot tidier.
5.0 out of 5 stars Very good
This tidy box is very good.Keeps everything in one place.Highly recommend 👌
3.0 out of 5 stars Ok but not great
Pros:- Nice and spacious to easily fit a 4 gang extension cord- Nice and tall- Allows for good cable managementCons:- Pretty cheap and rubbish build quality- Lid is pretty loose and comes off easily- Could be slightly wider
4.0 out of 5 stars Good For The Price
I got this cable management box to tidy up my workspace, and it has been functional in organizing cords. The design is simple and fits well in various settings. However, I found that it could be a bit larger to accommodate all my cables effectively, as I still have some visible cords. While it serves its purpose reasonably well, I believe there are better options available that offer more space for larger setups. Overall, it’s satisfactory for basic organization, but it may not fully meet all needs.
5.0 out of 5 stars Versatile - Good Airflow - Well Designed
Anything that hides cables away is good, and this box joins my array of cable tidying sleeves, wraps, ties, clips and hooks. The best thing about this box is that you can fit a standard multi-way extension inside with plenty of room for power adapters. The holes allow airflow keeping everything cool and mean that you can poke cables through at the most convenient position. The lid fits OK and completes the look of the unit.I’m not a fan of the colours, I would much prefer just plain black, but then again, I like black and almost everything I own is black, so maybe a bit of colour isn’t so bad. As greens go, the particular shade of this box is unoffensive and quite neutral.Full size mains cables (kettle leads) can only be routed through the ends, but this actually looks neater in my opinion, while smaller cables can be poked through any of the slots. In the end I routed the input cable at one end and all of the output cables at the other in a sleeve.Overall, this is a good value cable tidy box that does its job well.
4.0 out of 5 stars Does the job
This box makes a difference to hide cables. However, please make sure that your existing extension unit fits well because this is only 30cm long and about 14cm wide.I am a bit reluctant using this to connect power hungry items as the extension unit might get hot. (It could be just my paranoiaAnother thing is that I wish it had some kind of suction on the bottom, as it would be more stable. It is okay for some extensions but it is not a game changer.
5.0 out of 5 stars Convenient for use as intended or for storage
This is something that I'd never even considered looking for or making myself, and I was a little sceptical as to whether I'd use it as intended or repurpose it for storage. I opted for the all green colour, which is fairly muted and blends well. Having tried it, I have to admit that it does indeed tidy things up. Most slots are closed at the top and bottom and a kettle lead won't fit through. So, if simply routing mains cables, these will need to come out at either end where the slot is open at the top, unless wiring a plug to a cable once fed through a slot. The end slots stop a few cm's above the base, so a power strip won't sit flat in the box, and the one I tested with ended up on its side. Most barrel jacks should fit through slots in the lid, and they can be easily fed out through the side slots. There are no ventilation slots in the lid, only thin cable slots, but the ones in the side should suffice.I have a particularly messy power strip that I'm now using it for, and this definitely makes an improvement to the space.
3.0 out of 5 stars Nice idea that doesn't really work.
Like everyone, trying to tame the spaghetti chaos of the many many cables I need is an ongoing headache. This box doesn’t really go solve my real problem. TBF, it is a handy box to keep your cables in and you can feed some of the leads through the holes but I don’t think it is a great organiser, more a storage box.To use it, you need a multiplug in it with things plugged in. This all relies on the design and size on the plugs and sockets or you won’t be able to close the box. Feeding wires through the holes in the lids is easy enough, though pushing them back can cause them to jam with whatever is inside the box. I also found that the cut out at each end for the multiplug wire is too high and stops it sitting flat on the bottom. I think that the bottom would be better if it were a solid surface as the holes in it don’t really serve a purpose and wire try and escape from them. All in all I don’t think it works as intended, but it is a nice plastic box and can be used for all sorts of things where the holes are an advantage.
