For the price these backpacks are superb, the materials and general quality of the stitching is far above this price point. There is only one caveat and that's whether it fits you or not, as they're not adjustable length wise. I'm 6ft 2" and mine fitted me really well, I can cinch the straps nice and tight and its really comfortable, with well padded straps. I use mine regularly and am very happy with it. The person who said the 60 litre version isn't 60 litres is clueless, the top is designed to extend and unroll upwards and you can definitely pack a lot into this backpack. I'm not an ultralight hiker but I can get all the kit I need into it, including a tent and meals (and I mean inside minus the poles, which I stick in the side pocket), for a two week through hike, no problem. The other thing I like is that you can use this as a smaller backpack as well, just roll the top right down and it's not a big looking or feeling bag, it's a bit of a swiss army knife to be honest. One criticism is that the rain cover is a bit small if you load this bag up, so I bought a cheap larger one that does a better job, but this is small beer for the price to be honest. This is surprisingly well made and tough bag for the price, when you consider how much an Atom pack would cost, which is very similar (I think this bag is based on that design) then you're getting a lot for your money. If you can afford an Atom pack then get one, it'll be great, but if you're on a budget, and it fits you, then this bag is superb, highly recommended from this experienced hiker.Update to my previous comments: l discovered you can make minor height adjustments to the pack. The waist belt has a big Velcro patch in the centre behind the padding, once you have released it from the Velcro you can move the belt an inch or two up and down. It's a bit fiddly but it can be done, l don't think too many people realise this as l missed it as well. This may be enough to make the pack shorter for some people as it seems to suit taller people like myself.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good pack but…

So I did a great deal of research prior to buying this pack. I went for the upgrade which is dyneema material. You can tell which version on Bolo only because it’s slightly heavier. I used it on a multi day through hike with more than enough hills.Pros: Lightweight, comfortable with plenty of space. Well built. For me the waist pockets were big enough. Great external stretch pockets. Chest strap is ok and water bottle pocket is acceptable.Cons: My pack squeaks where the shoulder strap joins at the top. Also it sometimes feels low on my back without feeling uncomfortable. Neither of these are a deal breaker at moment.

5.0 out of 5 stars I love this pack

High quality well made, excellent value relative to the average cost of ultralight rucksacks. I was shocked how comfortable this pack was, though a lot of that is forcing me to use more compact most ultralight camping kit. I literally forgot I was wearing it because it was so comfortable.I've carried 10kg in it happily. I was able to get my down sleeping bag, special lightweight inflatable sleeping mat, lightweight 1p hiking pole tent, 2 titanium pots with my food and stove inside, waldo mess kit, water bottle, tea and coffee container, a large gas canister, a dog blanket and small pillow along with small essentials in the hip belt like torch and first aid kit. All of this fit in okay with water and beer in the side pockets and my rain jacket and such shoved in the mesh pocket. For an overnight the size is very good and even for a few days you can probably get your gear in no problem so long as it's midrange ultralight type gear.Looks great works great. Highly recommend.hip belt and load lifters are great and various bungies let you add carabinas with small hanging objects okay (this is where I keep a small towel) the chest clip is useless for most due to being too low down. The pack may not suit every body as well as mine, I am pretty short and slim for a guy so it might suit average women and smaller men best.

Made of strong material which looks very repellant.I returned the item as it didn't fit correctly but very sturdy… I can only review on seeing the product.

Well Made, Fits my gear, Too big for 5'2" - no ability to adjust

K.R. · 31 July 2024

I saw good reviews of the backpack and it was made well and fit all of my gear, however my torso was too short (17.5) to allow this pack to fit properly. I ended up getting a Granite Gear Blaze 60, which is also quite light and has adjustable straps.

Good value for your money

Excellent introduction to a lighter pack. They've done a nice job. One waist belt pocket zipper was catching when I got it, but with use straightened out and works correctly. The water bottle holder on the front is excellent for holding a cell phone (iphone 8 in otterbox), and can hold a battery bank as well. I use the side pockets for water bottles.Took it for an overnighter on the augerpoint traverse, vancouver island. It performed well. A bit of noise from the pack while hiking, but I've had that before with far more expensive packs. This is a budget pack after all!I'm 6' tall, and this pack is a little short for my torso. Would be nice if it was torso adjustable.

Occhio al litraggio

M.O. · 15 October 2024

Almost worked for me

I would have liked this pack to work for me, but after trying it out on a medium walk, I had to send it back. I'm sure it works for other people (body builds differ), but, for me, the problem was the internal frame, that I felt bounced against my sacrum bone at every step ever so slightly. I tried lowering the pack or carrying it higher, but there's only so much you can do without losing the optimal carrying position of a backpack. So, sadly, had to return it. I like its weight, though. Very light, indeed. Maybe not full UL, but close enough, and at a very affordable price at that.

Klasse Wanderrucksack!
