We had a wonderful time with this. It's one of the best toys I've bought for my two 7 year old grandkids and that's saying something :-DI especially like that it's not too 'girly' or pink and isn't offputting to boys. It's fun for both. It wasn't occult either, so suits most beliefs.The recipe booklet is perfect for getting started with and has nice, clear diagrams as well as text, so it suits reluctant readers as well as more competent ones. The 'ingredients' are imaginatively named and well presented. There were plenty of opportunities for the children to talk about what qualities they thought would be useful to have and the kit encouraged that. Mine made 'Unicorn training', 'Calm', 'Invisibility', 'Quiet' and 'Scary' potions as well as lots of others. The glow-in-the-dark ingredients were popular, but there was plenty of the glow star glitter left over at the end. Actually, there are quite a few remaining ingredients unused, which is a bonus. Nothing felt cheap or skimped.I did use a hand-held label maker to add a bit of a 'professional' look to the potions, but it's not necessary. There are cool blank labels in the kit to write on. I loved that there were two mixing bowls, funnels, scoops and fairy wands, meaning that they didn't have to share and could mix away without having to wait for anything. There were plenty of bottles (20) to sustain their potion-mixing activities for some time and inclusion of a few extra corks was thoughtful. I really appreciated the security tops on the colouring bottles, because it meant they needed adult help with a potentially messy part and didn't spill anything crucial. The fizzy mystery potion was fun too.The box contains a nice storage box for display of the finished potions. It's a very thoughtful feature because it kept them together and made them feel precious. Once the potions were made, the children used them in adventure games for days, carrying the box with them on a mission to defeat an evil teddy (apparently).I would definitely recommend the kit for children aged five and up, with adult involvement. It was educational, stimulating and above all, lots of fun. Everything about the set felt well thought out, as if it had been designed by someone who cared about children having fun and using their imagination. It's good value for the amount of enjoyment we all had.

My children loved this, they love making potions in the garden with mud and water so I thought I'd order this and take it to the next level and they weren't disappointed. They've enjoyed making the different concoctions and adding the different charms and glitters etc. Fun gift and value for money.

This was amazing fun for my Daughter, she has spent ages with these making different things. There is a good quality feel with this product and makes a perfect gift for Children. I may even use these for parties as it gets all the kids playing together.

We bought this for our seven years old granddaughter and she very much loves what she can do.however, I would suggest that adult supervision is most appropriate and needed, due to the high probability of waste and spillages.You can see a photo of the display case that she has arranged, not being enough cork stoppers and so she has improvised with coloured cotton wool..!Overall this is a very complete and wonderful kit. Nothing within is of undue concern, with supervision and older children. Nothing has stained or caused skin reactions when used.Very much appreciate d and very much loved.......it just has a limited appeal as there can not be any replay value once used. Putting aside what can be effectively displayed.Very much recommended for both boys and girls, her brother liking it also.

Perfekt für jede Harry Potter Party
Zum sechsten Geburtstag gab es eine Harry Potter Party. Neben den obligatorischen Deko und den Kostümen gab es zur Bespaßung der jungen Partygesellschaft ein gemeinschaftliches Mixen von Zaubertränken. Ich war total überrascht wie lange und akribisch sich die kleinen damit beschäftigen konnten und welche fantasievollen Wundermittel sie erfunden haben. Für den Gastgeber gab es zudem den schönen Aufsteller aus Pappe und die Zaubertränge weren seit seinem Geburtstag im Kinderzimmer ausgestellt.Bei der Zubereitung ist die Aufsicht und Unterstützung von älteren absolut ratsam. Neben feststoffen wie Glitzer oder Watte kommen auch Farbstoffe zum Einsatz. Die kleinen vielfältigen Behälter lassen sich aber glücklicherweise dicht verschließen. Jedes bekommt zum Schluss noch ein individuelles Ettikett verpasst.In Summe absolut empfehlenswert!
Super activité pour garçon et fille de 6 à 15 ans.
Je recommande vivement ce kit. La boîte est assez petite lorsqu'on la reçoit mais en fait c'est compact et complet. On peut faire 20 petites fioles de potions. Les flacons sont de qualité et on dirait du verre. Il y a beaucoup d'ingrédients différents à ajouter et seule l'eau n'est pas fournie , ce qui est un plus par rapport aux kits de chimie par exemple ou il faut toujours rajouter des ingrédients de chez soit. Nous avons passé plus d'une heure dans le calme avec 4 enfants de 6 à 15 ans. La supervision d'un adulte est nécessaire si on ne veut pas avoir des paillettes du sol au plafond. Il y a un livret de "recettes" pour les potions mais nous avons trouvé plus amusant d'inventer nous même. Des araignées et crânes brillent dans le noir. Il y a assez de paillettes pour bien remplir les flacons. Nous avons tellement aimé que j'ai recommandé un autre modèle le soir même. Merci pour ce beau produit.
