5.0 out of 5 stars Warm hands for cycling on a cold day
I have suffered for years with cold fingers when cycling in winter, even to the point of frostbite damaging the nail bed. The problem is that you need to grip the handlebars quite tightly, especially going up hill, and this cuts off circulation to your fingers. Your hands are fully exposed to the cold air flowing over them, and this is worse when they are wet. I have tried thick woollen gloves, even mittens, and insulated waterproof gloves. These work fine for walking, but you need something to actually keep your fingers warm on a bicycle but not restrict your access to the brake and gear controls. These gloves seem to work really well, though I haven't tried then on a very cold day. They immediately feel warm on top of the fingers when you switch them on; in fact, your hands feel warmer than the rest of your body, which feels a bit strange at first. Adjusting the fitting is easy to do, but they are quite bulky, but no harder to use the brakes and gears than other gloves I have tried. I can't score them for use with a mobile screen since I never use a phone outside. The battery is in the cuff and has no effect on their comfort.I certainly now have no excuse for not going on my daily cycle route except when it really is icy on the road.
5.0 out of 5 stars Bought as a gift for my eldest biker son
Excellent quality product that does what it says on the box. Reasonably priced and very useful in cold weather. Wish these had been available when I first rode a bike. I remember going over the moorland roads near Burnley, on a very cold and crisp November 1984 evening, to look at the twinkling lights of Burnley from the old isolation hospital on Crown Point. I only had a thin pair of black leather summer gloves as I'd not got around to buying a decent winter pair at the time (I'd spent most of my spare cash on a pair of Lewis leather boots and Jacket). I couldn't feel my hands by the time I arrived home, but the experience was amazing as it was the first time I'd rode a bike at night along one of my favourite cross country running routes.
4.0 out of 5 stars Toasty warm and great value
Very good overall. So far I'm pleased. Unlike a previous pair I had, these heat the fingers not just the back of hand which is important when I have circulatory issues. The batteries are a little heavy but ok, it would be nice to have a battery level indication but the variable heaating levels on glove are good, overall the fit is snug, not small to size quoted but I wouldn't go under size. That suits me as keeps hands warmer and better for dexterity.I bought these to replace a similarly priced and rated pair on Bolo which suffered a batery failure after 4 weeks. I find them superior in most areas. A good value purchase
5.0 out of 5 stars Nice when my hands are warm.
Would like a pair of socks that are heated, now. Size 14.Thank you.
5.0 out of 5 stars Complete Game Changer
Delighted with these gloves, but regret that I didn’t buy them years ago. I set off before 6am for a 12 mile cycle every day Mon-Fri . In freezing temperatures my hands become like frozen talons before I’m half way there. Got these gloves for a Xmas present, and cold hands are now simply a thing of the past . I’mgetting at least 3 hours of warm hands with the gloves on maximum output ( there are three heat levels ) . The batteries are taking about 3 hours to fully recharge after use. Once charged the little batteries attach easily to the connector which is housed in a little zipped pouch on the cuff of each glove . Just two regrets …1) that I hadn’t bought them long ago , and 2) that the gloves now magnify how cold my feet are feeling !
5.0 out of 5 stars Great Gloves
They work really well and heat up quickly. I was skiing and only needed them on 1 or 2. Admittedly it wasn’t as cold as usual but you are on snow!It was lovely to have nice warm fingers & hands instead of really cold fingers and hands!Thank you.
3.0 out of 5 stars good but batteries don't last too long
really good but don't last as long as you'd like
5.0 out of 5 stars Worth every penny
Very good pair and seems durable. I work in construction, i have to be onsite sometimes and during the peak winter days they kept my hands very warm but you couldnt do much work with them on as they are quite bulky. If use them here and there and they last me about 3 days but if its continuous use then maybe 8 hours. Highly recommend
Perfict fit glove warmer
Gloves working well on cold days on the lake fishing
Comfortable good for finer work as well as heavy.
Absolutely wonderful. Not as bulky as most. Love the 3 heat settings. Able to use phone etc. Nice soft lining. Look nice as well. Have done log splitting with them, shoveling snow off roof, and various outdoor chores. Seem quite durable. Comfort fit - able to bend fingers easily - no restriction.
Excellent value for battery heated gloves
These gloves are significantly less expensive than many others. However, I have only used them for about a week and they have heated consistently. Recharging the batteries is simple and doesn't require more than an hour or two. So far I have used them while walking my dog in 40 to 50 degree weather on the number 2 of 3 setting. I have not worn them in the rain. The gloves are comfortable and appear to be well made. Time will tell. For now, I am very pleased with them and think they are a very good value.
Great warm gloves..
These are excellent gloves they warm up quickly and are well made. Not sure how long the charge will last, but they heat up quickly and the lowest setting is warm enough for cold days.
