5.0 out of 5 stars Better than expected
Bought this for use in the Dominican Republic. Far better than expected and a bargain when bought on Bolo Prime day! It is rather bulky and a bit heavier than expected but as it works so well and does the job, very happy to have it in my suitcase.
4.0 out of 5 stars Pritech Hot brush/dryer
Ideal for holidays as dual voltage. Less good for shorter hair as barrel quite large.
5.0 out of 5 stars Works in the US when most do not, life saver!
Dual Voltage Hair Dryer Brush, PRITECH Hot Air Brush 110V-120V/220V-240V Ionic 1000WMost hair styling products like this, will not work in the US, but this one, being dual voltage, does. I was going to vegas for my daughter's wedding and was quite anxious that I wouldn't be able to use any of my Shark, Dyson, L'Ange or other hair stylers. I must have 8 or 9 different stylers as I review products, and none of them would have worked in the US, not because of the plug, which could be dealt with using an adaptor, but because of the voltage.I have styled my hair with this type of styler for years and any one who is has used similar products will be used to the size, as they are all of a similar build. This is not really any heftier to hold than any other similar styler, and I have had everything from a shark, Dyson and other similar cheap models such as this. You should always partially dry your hair with a dryer first with any of these products. Then finish off with this. It gives a nice fresh blowdried look, which offers smooth hair, but with body. I always use a spray leave in conditioner too before using air brushes, as it prevents your hair drying out. This is so much better than using straighteners. If like me you have fine hair, then the lowest setting is sufficient. I only have a blast of hot air when I am using keratin products, that need heat to work. Before using in the US you need to make sure you adjust the voltage. There is a little thing you need to turn, that looks a bit like a Philips screw head, and there is a little tool provided for you to use to turn it. You would be able to do it with a table knife or screwsw driver though if you lose the tool.I used this daily in vegas and my hair looked brilliant the whole time I was there. I know I can use this when ever im in the US and not have to worry about breaking one of my more expensive stylers that are really not capable of being used over there. To me paying £35 for this was. a bargain and meant I could do my own hair during my trip and not look a mess, as I would have done if I could only have used a hotel hair dryer. Its great for using in the UK too, but the dual voltage aspect of this one means that if you do travel anywhere with 110 voltage plugs, this is the one you need.
4.0 out of 5 stars Great brush but power cord is a bit short
I think it’s a great hairstyler although it’s quite large and heavy for adding to a suitcase. I find the powercable quite sort. My socket is just above the skirting board and I am 5ft 4 . As I don’t have a dressing table I need to stand so the cable is a bit short for me. Otherwise great results.
1.0 out of 5 stars Waste of money.
The item stopped working immediately after 2 min of use. It gets too hot in just 30 sec. I found it too risky to use this device.
3.0 out of 5 stars Awkward to hold.
The first thing I noticed on unpacking was how big the brush is I found it really awkward to hold - even my husband found it a bit big to get his hand around comfortably. Thankfully my hair is just shoulder length and took about 10 minutes - even then my hand was cramping a bit - glad I don’t have really long hair.As for the drying itself - that is good - it has 3 settings including a cold setting. Please be careful if you use the hottest setting as it does get really hot!I was happy with the results though - my hair was soft and straight and no frizz!
5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic piece of kit
I bought this dryer (reluctantly) because my current Revlon styler doesn’t work abroad. However, after trying it out in advance of my holiday, I am never going back to the Revlon. It feels slightly lighter, is easier to hold, and the brush just glides through my hair leaving it bouncy, smooth and satiny. I no longer need to use straighteners to tame any frizz, so I shall have more room in my case when I pack for my hols! The only possible downside is that the brush doesn’t detach for packing, but this is a small thing compared to all the benefits.
4.0 out of 5 stars Dual voltage
A useful dual voltage hair styler, ideal for all those foreign holidays. Large brush head, but effective for most hair lengths. Easy controls, enough cable length and a reasonable price.Recommended.
