    Tired of Pukka Pad? My Papier notebook arrived in 2 days and is a solid upgrade. The blue cover is sleek, the paper is smooth (ballpoint & fine tip pen friendly), and it lays flat for easy writing.There's some faint ink transfer, but nothing major. Handy pocket in the back too.Overall: Quality notebook at a fair price. Not a Papier fanatic, but I'm happy with it.Skip if: You use fountain pens (check reviews first).Recommend: Ballpoint & fine liner users who want a step up from Pukka Pad.

    The media could not be loaded. This is great to gift or great to use yourself. It comes wrapped in attractive paper and sealed inside. The cover has a very nice texture and a gold embossed sun. The binding is also gold really complimenting it.The paper is indeed a decent GSM and when you write it doesn't come through the back of the page. I wrote on it in fountain pen and there was nothing on the reverse (see video).There's a little sleeve at the back that is for "bits and pieces". This is also embossed in gold. And the back has the Papier logo at the bottom also in gold.It is a very high quality notebook with a lot of attention to detail. It's very aesthetically pleasing, has a lot of pages and is pleasing to use. Due to the careful and detailed packaging you could easily gift it. An easy recommendation.

    One thing I’ve noticed while scribbling away over the years is that there is nothing quite like the feeling of writing in a really good notebook. Something about the paper, the cover, even the pattern on the front brings out your best creative thoughts and inspires you to even wilder heights than your usual everyday notebook. You feel drawn to writing every day purely for the sheer joy of using something really special, and this book really is quite special.The first thing you notice when unpackaging this notebook is the careful thought and attention to detail which has gone into every part of its design. The book is beautifully packaged in a patterned sleeve sealed with a small Papier sticker. The book itself has a hard blue cover with various stars, moons and comets in gold on the front. The frontispiece is also blue with a star pattern and ‘As if by MAGIC’ printed in the middle. The pages are a pleasant creamy yellow which will take both ink and pencil well and won’t show through onto the other side. There are 31 lines per page each of which measures 10x7 inches or 25x18cm, quite a bit larger A5, giving you the freedom to stretch out into every page as you write. It may be a small thing, but I couldn’t help smiling at the very last line on each double page having a little squiggle as you get ready to turn the page, the kind of detail that you wouldn’t really notice at first, but makes it a joy to use. There is a pocket at the back for bits and pieces and the spiral is made from thick brass wire, which, together with the cover, gives an impression of real extravagance.Really, this is a very special notebook, the kind you keep for your most precious projects and, considering the packaging, the attention to detail and the luxurious, tactile feel of it in your hands, one that would make a perfect gift, whether given or received, and cherished by anyone lucky enough to use it.

    I am learning a foreign language and need a notebook to keep, well, notes. It is stylish in design and of a good quality which will last a long time. It is quite expensive for a notebook but the quality is excellent. If you want a cheaper notebook, by all means go for it but if you want something to last, this is a good option.
