It’s a great radio but most peoples reviews are not informed that it is not a walkie talkie and people complaining that they only received 1 so Bolo should make it more clear about the information about the radio

Charging dock has red light, which goes off when radio is inserted. Radio feels loose. Doesn't seem to charge. I think the dock may not match the radio.

*** If your charging dock doesnt work, it's because the charger is bad/not powerful enough. Dig up one from a battery charger or similar that you may have round the house. I found a 12v 0.5A and it worked fine. ***I was always intrigued as a kid by radios and being able to transmit, the CB craze in the early 80's stoked my imagination as well as Smokey and the Bandit on constant video library rental.However, kit was always a bit specialist and rather expensive. Things change and now we can get little "intro" HAM radios such as this and finally listen in to the wonderful world of HAM radio and it's secrets.Well, this is a case where the imagination far outstrips the reality. First of all the radio is fine. Nice bit of kit. Solid, works well and after a few YouTube videos I was able to set it up and move around the frequencies and channels. The FM radio too is a handy little feature, not to mention the torch. Yes, dare not touch the PTT button in case...well nothing happens or is likely to but I play by the rules. Rules are there for a reason arent they? We have to preserve the sanctity of the airwaves! I dug up the local repeaters and found what frequencies are used for call ups and such and started listening.So what do you find? Well three things in order of occurance.1. Masses of static or silence...like 98% of the time2. The odd burst of Morse.3. Two guys 'of a certain' age probably called Barry and Andy talking self conciously about the weather and that they are on the radio due to the wife being at the hairdressers.That's it. Yeah...I did upgrade the antenna too so... I have to say if thats what all the fuss is about, I can see the Govt. taking back the bandwidth and using it for something more useful. Certainly draws into question the need for a license if it's this forgotten about. Yes yes I know I don't know nothing and using the wrong kit etc. At least I only invested £35 in total.Interesting initially though and I have learned some stuff but, though probably not worth the effort long term. YMMV

Rather remarkable little dual band HAM transceiver. It is quite small so configuration via CHIRP is preferred in my case. Unable to fault so far. Quite amazing at this price. I'm just getting back into amateur radio after a 35 year break so this was only intended as a temporary solution, however it's a great little radio. Battery lasts ages.

Gutes Funkgerät
Ich habe mir dieses Funkgerät als Einstieg in den Amateurfunk zugelegt. Ich bin davon bisher absolut begeistert. Das Funkgerät selber ist leicht, kompakt, einfach zu bedienen und der Akku hält ewig.Mit der Chirp Software lässt es sich auch sehr simpel programmieren, ich habe mir dabei alle Relais in der näheren Umgebung eingespeichert. Damit kann man dann mit der "Scan" Funktion schnell schauen, ob es irgendwo ein Gespräch gibt.Sehr zu empfehlen als Einstiegsgerät, günstig, zuverlässig und klein/kompakt.

Un walkie de esas características por ese precio es muy difícil encontrar. OJO, se necesita estar en posesión de la licencia oportuna

L'ho acquistato per un regalo ad un appassionato radioamatore, che ha trovato solo qualche pecca sulla qualità di ricezione. Parliamo però di un professionista del settore. Al prezzo di vendita questo prodotto è più che buono per chi vuole avvicinarsi al mondo delle trasmissioni radio. Ricordo che questa versione è limitata per rispettare la legislazione italiana, quindi è sostanzialmente un walkie talkie. In internet ci sono molte informazioni su questo modello e su come usarlo al meglio (vedi software CHIRP). Tutto sommato un buon prodotto.
