5.0 out of 5 stars Great Mic
Quality is incredible and the microphone sounds so much more professional that a headset mic or other mics iv used before. It's easy to setup and sounds amazing, a boom arm is a must though on the desk I got a little too much noise from my desk even with the ai stuff on but that's mostly my environment, most people might not have that same issue.
5.0 out of 5 stars good quality
apart from the damaged cable wich was sorted almost immediately thanks to support no complaints
5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing Mic!
The microphone came fully put together so its easy to set up and everyone I have spoke to has said its been a massive improvement. With the steel series software you can install, it means you can customise the use of the microphone, and it also lets you customise all media output and input devices through your device. The microphone has customisable setting for the brightness of the mute x and the colours of the mic input volume, it also has a light on the bottom which you can customise in any way.The mic uses a simple usb-c to usb connection so it will likely connect to most devices.I love this mic and will use it for the foreseeable future 10/10
5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing but price is to high
Good produck but the price...
4.0 out of 5 stars A quality condenser mic, but it's pricey.
I have to admit, I was unfamiliar with SteelSeries until I got this mic, but I'm quite impressed with the build quality and performance. This is a fairly expensive mic, and it's facing some tough competition from established brands, but it fares rather well.It arrives attractively boxed and is well protected inside. The box is weighty, which is always good! Inside the box is the mic itself (fitted to a shock-mount and a weighted desktop stand), a boom arm bracket/adaptor, a decently long USB-C cable, and an instruction book. It all looks and feels like a premium product. The mic looks really stylish, sleek and professional. It's suspended in a sprung shock-mount to eliminate extraneous noise. You can have it fitted onto the desktop stand, or attach it to a boom arm. I chose the latter as I already had a counterbalanced boom arm.You can use the mic as is, or you can download the Sonar audio suite to gain access to more features.Though this mic is aimed at gamers and streamers, it's great for use as a general mic, and even if you never even download the software, it's still a really good mic. It's even good enough for vocals if you're a musician.Audio quality is very good indeed. Of course, you can tweak levels to your preference, but the native audio pickup is very good. Clarity is excellent and is produces a rich sound with a lot of depth.Combined with the Sonar software, you can modify things further. I'm still getting to grips with it, but you can do things like set custom EQ levels, add noise reduction and even control the built in RGB lights.Overall, this is an impressive mic, but it does come at a high price. There are a lot of option out there for this kind of condenser mic, and while I don't think this SteelSeries Alias has any killer features that put it head and shoulders above any of the competitors, it is a quality mic and worthwhile investment if you're a serious streamer, gamer, or record podcasts.
3.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing sound
I have found the steelseries alias pro to sound flat and randomly will cut in and out. I suspect its either the xlr interface box or sonar software that causes it. Using just the mic in teams sounds good however so I'm told by work colleagues.I would suggest rather than relying on software get a dedicated mixer that allows you to physically adjust levels.
5.0 out of 5 stars Best mic ever
Best usb mic for streaming ever so glad sleet series came out with this never been let down by steel series yet
1.0 out of 5 stars Terrible sound quality, at least for me
The SteelSeries Alias USB Mic for PC falls short in delivering the sound quality expected from a brand known for gaming peripherals. Despite its sleek design and ease of use with plug-and-play USB connectivity, the microphone suffers from poor audio performance. Users have reported issues with muffled and unclear sound, making it unsuitable for professional streaming or recording. While it is budget-friendly, the compromised sound quality significantly diminishes its value. For those seeking a reliable mic for gaming or streaming, this might not be the best choice.
Sehr gutes Mic
Expected better audio for the price
I used this with a movable boom arm for streaming. I got the Pro expecting a Podcast-like sound, but without the extra software it sounds decidedly average, and I found no good preset to make it sound better. There were muffled, tinny and wacky presets, but none for a normal voice. It's also very sensitive to the position of your mouth vs the mic. This distracted me and made me self-aware to keep track of that; I don't sit like a statue when I talk on stream. Probably if you use it as a podcast mic with the fixed stand and make your own EQ curve it could sound better and get less fluctuating volume levels.
Nul.....
