3.0 out of 5 stars Wasn't bad...
It comes with 4k dongle included which is nice. Mouse looks nice and is responsive the software was horrible and side buttons a tad bit to high for my liking. Would not recommend buying at full price only on sale and hope you get a good unit. Mine had scroll wheel issue.
Manos grandes 🥴
Great mouse, high end
The media could not be loaded. Amazing mouse, pretty lighter, way more than the Model O Wireless and Wired, the buttons have a really good quality, the sensor is amazing, great update, nothing to envy to the GPro X which the buttons are not at good, the scroll feels pretty good as the previous ones which I used the Wireless and Wired for more than 3 years and still working perfectly, I used the mouse for 4 hours already, my accuracy feels better 100%, also, 2 years guarantee on box and mine has a 1 year plus if I register the QR code on box
Cheap feeling. Not worth the money at all
I've used an original Model D Wireless for many years and "upgraded" to this D 2 Pro when the battery on mine started to die. I really did love the original. This mouse just feels cheap. Everything about it feels like a cheapo off-brand $20 mouse. The sensor is great and the latency is great, but how they packaged that all up together is just bad.The switches are the loudest I have every heard on a mouse and they are optical which makes replacing them with something quieter a little more complicated. Not to mention that they made the mouse basically impossible to open up without breaking. The plastic housing is just smooth, no texture for grip or anything special about it. The led indicator for which DPI mode you're in is on the bottom which is just a terrible design. If this mouse was $20 it would be a five star from me. But even at the discount that I got it at, its a waste of money.I won't be buying Glorious products again after this.
It'll run down the battery charge fairly soon if you don't turn it off.
It's a very smooth, tight pointer, and very light weight.
Fantastic feel and good customization software
This Model D 2 Pro 4k/8k mouse is my first Glorious Gaming mouse and I like it. My primary gaming mouse for a long, long time has been a fleet of Performance MX (original version) mice that I've maintained via replacing switches and glide pads. The Model D 2 Pro is considerably lighter and has simplified down to just a few auxiliary buttons designed to to be under your right hand's thumb. There's other functional buttons and indicators like a preset/mode shuffle button on the top (coupled with an LED color indication on the bottom of what mode is selected) and the scroll wheel can be configured as a click button too. The included USB A to USB C cable is designed to be very lightweight and has an oversized USB C connector that is somewhat keyed for the wireless receiver or to plug into the mouse for charging. The internal battery of the mouse is kind of limited, which probably helps keep the weight down and will make you want to get in the habit of plugging in the cable regularly.I did find a firmware update available as soon as I plugged in the mouse. The update process seems to have a progress bar that devotes 50% to the dongle and 50% to the mouse, but also suggests that it's ok to plug only one of those in at a time. The progress meter and updating needed to restart several times, including changing which thing the cable was plugged into, but eventually all the parts were updated. In hindsight, I wish I'd connected both parts to my computer via separate cables before starting the update to see if that'd proceed more smoothly.I'm very impressed with the software utility that configures the mouse profiles. It has a lot of configurability, many options I'm slowly reading the pop up info boxes to understand. I did find that 4 different dpi levels was a bit too crowded for me, so I trimmed that down to 3 by dragging a color off the slider as indicated. I did find that sometimes the mouse and software lost track of each other as I disconnected the cable or powered off the mouse over several days, but fully closing the Glorious Core software and then restarting it usually worked to reconnect things. The added set of larger glide surfaces is a welcome addition, but I couldn't find any official discussion in the online guide we're directed to. They're both cut to fit around the smaller glide surfaces that arrive attached. I guess larger contact patches would wear down slower, but could also produce a bit more drag on your mousing surface.Overall, I'm really liking this D 2 Pro mouse, although I've found myself plenty happy with it set at 1k polling instead of 4k or 8k.
