    This is not my first such type pump, so I knew a few tricks right out of the gate.1. Make sure the oil is fairly warm, as in not a whole lot below normal operating temperature for a normal car style engine.2.Once you start getting air into the pipe, keep pumping the handle whilst wriggling the pipe to really get as much out as you can. I like to get as much of the old oil out as I can. Leave 2 minuets and check you have it all.3. Pour oil out of pump reservoir as soon as practical, and defiantly still warm, but not hot enough to distort whatever it is going into.4. Store upright to prevent any stuff getting into the works.
