5.0 out of 5 stars Great quality
Pros:Sturdy design and feels well put together.Great picture quality.Built in sound is good.Interface is very user friendly and clean.Focus feature works great. The tripod stand is sturdy and very adjustable.Havent tried out the projector screen yet but feels like good quality and is a good size.Included cleaning stick is a great starter for projector care.Lots of information in the instruction manual, clear to read and has diagrams where needed.Cons:Projector came with what looks like a damaged lense or dirt on it, tried cleaning multiple times but won’t come off. Only a small mark but noticeable at times.Cranks out a lot of heat during use and is quite loud.Overview:Over all I think it’s a great bit of kit and will come in handy for a lot of things. Easy to use and the troubleshooting information will solve most common issues. 10/10 feels like I’m in the cinema while using the projector,
5.0 out of 5 stars Great product
Very bright, very clear and a great range of connectivity options, it's clear that the features and packaging have been very well thought out and delivered.I particularly like the fact that it comes with a cleaning swab and instructions on how to remove black spots caused by dust. It's only my first day of using the projector, so I'll update this in a month's time.My use case:I have the projector behind my head, yes it can be pretty loud and does generate heat, so please make sure it's iits in an open space with no obstruction to the ventsI only use the HDMI input for video onlyI don't use or plan to use any of the connectivity features, the sound is handled separately.Update:It works well in a room which isn't very dark, the brightness and clarity of the display makes it very easy to see what's on screen !!
4.0 out of 5 stars Surprisingly good
My setup is by no means great. I'm projecting on a wall, I don't have a proper mount for the projector to sit at the right angle, but it's still good. The picture was taken with an open window during daylight, and the image is still okay. The letters are a bit blurry, but I was expecting that.I tested both phone mirroring and hdmi cable. While mirroring there's definitely some lagging, barely noticeable. But with hdmi the quality is very good.Bluetooth connection with speakers is also very easy and quick. Only thing I would point out is that it's not that easy to focus the image, it's always a bit more blurry around the edges.
5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic piece of kit on a budget
The media could not be loaded. I was sceptical about this item especially when I purchased it on sale with an additional 30% discount voucher. BUT, BUT, I AM WHOLEHEARTEDLY AND TOTALLY HUMBLED with the high quality of viewership.I was pleasantly surprised to find the device linked to my surround sound kit via Bluetooth and provided an almost comparable cinema experience. The adjustments available are fantastic. My viewing wall can accommodate 165" but this device can project up to 200"
5.0 out of 5 stars Great projector
Can't say enough how pleased I am with this projector!➡️ Fantastic picture quality➡️ Great size➡️ So easy to use, with all you need right on screen so no need to keep flicking through instruction booklet➡️ Can connect to my Android phone for screen mirroring over WiFi so no need for cables. Means I can have it on charge and not worry about battery dying whilst watching➡️ Lens cover provided (which my previous projector never had)➡️ Fan sounds noisy but no more so than say a PlayStation, and not that noticeable when you're watching something⬇️ Only downside was the inbuilt speaker, not great and crackles a lot even on a low volume. I'm sure you're planning to connect to external stereo speakers anyway. Just an issue for me as I don't have any such speakers.Would I recommend this? Absolutely 💯
1.0 out of 5 stars Like watching a movie while using a hairdryer!
I had high hopes for this projector given the number of positive reviews, but I now realise that those reviews are probably by a younger generation who think nothing of cranking up the volume & enjoying a late night DIY cinema experience.Basically, what I am saying, is that the fan noise from this projector is simply far too loud. Imagine trying to watch TV whilst using a hairdryer or with a small fan heater running in the background - what do you do to compensate for that background noise? You crank up the TV volume so you can hear it 'over' the fan noise. That's how using this projector is.It's a shame, because examining the unit, it didn't have to be like that - much of the casing is solid plastic with no ventilation slots. There are only two small areas for air intake & a larger area on the opposite side of the case for exhaust close to the internal projection LED light source. When you put your hand close to the air exhaust, it is of course, quite warm. Improved ventilation grills & quieter fans, would do a great deal to improve this product.Additionally, one of the two HDMI sockets is *right above* the exhaust outlet, which means if you plug in a media stick (eg. Bolo FireTV stick) then it gets *VERY* hot due to its own circuitry & the heat blasting out of the projector fan exhaust. It's quite disappointing that the fan is so noisy, because the video quality is quite good. Although it would benefit from some kind of horizontal lense adjustment allowing you to site the projector slightly left or right of centre without distorting the display into a trapezoidal shape.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great picture
Very easy set up with my Bolo Firestick
3.0 out of 5 stars Good value for money
It's a good product value for money. Due to single focus, letters are blurry around the edges. Movie experience is still good enough.
Compact and bright enough
The media could not be loaded. Update:As posted by another reviewer, the start-up sound is loud. I contacted the manufacturer and they did an incredible job.1. They respond immediately - I had a reply in under 24 hours.2. I had a request to provide them with a picture of the model label on the underside of the projector so that they made the adjustment to the correct software.3. I had the first patch within 3 days and there was something not quite working. I sent them a step-by-step troubleshooting report (I used to do desktop computer support and learned early to document everything methodically).4. The manufacturer sent me an updated patch and it installed exactly as specified. The result - no annoyingly loud start-up sound, meaning I can watch a movie late at night without waking up anyone else. THAT IS INCREDIBLE SERVICE!!!After reading the numerous reviews regarding this projector, I decided to take the plunge and order one. Here is my assessment of it:1. It is light weight and reasonably robust with decent construction. As mentioned by several other purchasers, the venting of the internal heat occurs by the side where the cables plug in (HDMI, USB, etc.). Just follow the advice in the instruction manual regarding leaving the vents unobstructed.2. Connectivity - having two HDMI ports means I can connect two video sources - a computer and a DVD player. The USB is a nice add-on even though I am less likely to use it. The jack for external speakers is great as I can use it to augment the sound of movies or use headphones so as not to disturb others late at night.3. For a small projector, the image is remarkably bright. The images accompanying this review are all part of my testing. I projected against a wall that is painted light blue. I drew the curtains and you can see the brightness of the Jellyfin media server screen. There was no lag in projecting; I was using Wi-Fi and attached from my laptop to the projector. A video clip shows how clear the image is when projected on the screen.4. You get what you pay for, so don't expect theater sound from the built-in speakers or a high definition, 4K result. That said, it is easy enough to add speakers - even though there is no Bluetooth built into the projector.5. I am NOT a gamer. I do like movies (why else a Jellyfin media server) and some are better on a bigger screen - Star Wars, Star Trek, Avatar, Dune, and so on. It is also great to be able to share the experience with friends. Just add popcorn and beverages for a great time.6. Set-up is reasonably intuitive for a non-techie or semi-technical person (OK - I have a technical background) - just carefully peruse the manual. I had all of the necessary cables and adapters in my collection but you may need to purchase the appropriate one for your cellphone.7. For basic indoor/outdoor movie watching, this projector will give you many hours of enjoyment.Note regarding connecting cables - I use twist ties to secure the cables together and remove the strain on the plugs and sockets. As for the power cord - yes, I had to "shove hard" to get it to seat inside the socket. It is a tight fit and if you don't, then it is too loose and can disconnect easily.
Great product, value for money.
This is a great project, has good projection (I only placed the projector about 3m away from the screen, great for movie nights with the kids. The audio levels were acceptable (loud enough), but I would still recommend connecting a good set of Bluetooth speakers for it. There are no built in streaming apps (think Netflix/PrimeVid etc.) on the projector - it only hosts the iOS and Android screen mirroring capabilities so you need to be prepared with your FireTVs/Dongles of choice for media platform connected to the HDMI port. It also has USB ports in case you need to use the keyboard for searching up media than mangle with the on screen keyboard.Obviously being a <$200 model you're not going to expect any automation where it caters for uneven viewing surfaces here but it does allow for manual skew corrections so your projector doesn't have to be completely parallel to the projection area (albeit, it is very noticeable if you don't set it up parallel even with the feature with the projector at a distance - but this is pretty much the same unless you're dealing with a >$1500 projector). It also comes with a nice large projection cloth (a little thin though) but it's good enough - you may want to weight it down or clip it a little tighter so it isn't flapping around from the wind/fan etc.
Excellent!!!!
Honestly for 85 bucks my expectations were not high but I’m now thinking this is the best 85 bucks I’ve spent in my life! The quality is excellent for such low price, easy to use, lightweight and have used about 20 hours now and cannot fault. As you can see in my pic EPL fixtures have become a hot hot ticket soon.If you want one thing to say it’s the Audio is not loud but connect it to a speaker and away you go!
Bang for the buck!
The media could not be loaded. What a great projector! I got it for $170 during a promotion and I didn’t expect it to be this good. If you’re looking for a decent projector on a budget, you won’t be disappointed!- Picture quality is great, it’s bright, sharp and vivid. It’s viewable even with some ambient lighting. Third photo is taken at daytime blings closed. You can barely see the pixels up close but at viewing distance you can’t notice anything.- Native resolution is 1080P HD. I’m using it with a Fire Tv Stick and I had no issues watching 4K content.- Inbuilt speakers are OK. Pairing with a bluetooth speaker will greatly improve audio quality. If anyone interested, I’m using it with a two echo dots paired as a stereo pair with the Fire Tv Stick. It is little noisy but when something is playing it’s barely noticeable.- I’m projecting it to a white wall. Distance from the projector to the wall is about 10ft and I’m getting around 100” of projection.- Focus is manual and keystone can be adjusted manually and fine tune it digitally which is great. It has digital corner correction so that you can get a perfectly aligned picture. You only have to adjust those ones and the projector will remember your adjustments.- Built in UI is great. You can cast directly from your phone. However it does not have any built in apps like YouTube or Netflix. Highly recommend using it with a some sort of streaming device like Fire Tv Stick.- Great customer service! They’ll answer any questions you may have about the product. Also I got a $40 Bolo gift card when I register it for the 2 year warranty. I’m not sure whether it’s limited time deal.Overall it’s a great projector on a budget. Hope this information is helpful.
