    Bought this to replace an Ikea one. This is much thicker glass and a sturdier carafe than the Ikea one.

    The media could not be loaded. This Water Carafe with Lid is constructed from sturdy glass and cork. Its 1L capacity is ample for serving water or juice to my guests or family members. The carafe has a wide opening, which makes it easy for me to clean the interior with my slender hands. However, individuals with larger hands may struggle to fit their hands inside and might need a longer brush for cleaning purposes. Additionally, I appreciate its natural colour that complements my kitchen.While I am fond of this carafe, I have encountered an issue with the cork lid. It tends to be pushed down into the mouth of the bottle, making it difficult for individuals with larger hands to grip and remove it. Moreover, I am uncertain if the cork can be washed with water since there is no mention of it in the product description.Overall, I am satisfied with this carafe considering its material, quality, and size. These aren’t one of those essential purchases, but there’s something very pleasing about decanting your milk/wine/juice from these carafes.Very pleasing.Made of ‘food grade’ glass, these are dishwasher safe (the cork isn’t!) I take food grade to mean slightly thick, because whilst maybe not at thick as a milk bottle, these do have a pleasing bit of weight to them. I’ve seen people also use them for fabric softener too. I can probably understand that from an aesthetic point of view. They’d look great for the ‘gram. A lot better than the bottle the fabric softener comes in. I guess the same goes for milk. These look so much better on the table than a carton of milk or juice does.See the video I made to help with sizing. As I say, certainly not an essential purchase, but one that makes you feel just a little ..classier? I like ‘em anyway! Recommended.

    It looks good. But it’s not easy to hold securely, it doesn’t poor very well, and the cork doesn’t fit very well.

    These two carafes have already been put to test by being used for a good number of things in my household over the last month, including hot drinks (from being at room temp before), water bottles, serving iced drinks with mixed fruit including lemonade and also for storing some food for preservation, to test how airtight they really are - mind you turning them upside with some liquid had initially confirmed this. Everything was passed with flying colours!Of course you can get big glass jars, carafes and other types of posh bottles or containers anywhere at all sorts of price ranges, so maybe the most important factor for folk is how nice they look sitting in your kitchen or on a shelf somewhere... Well this pair of carafes both look just the part with their cork lids, quite sophisticated looking as glasses go, I think it's a combination of the very nice cork lids (which go reasonably deep into the neck) along with the glass having the appearance - and properties - of being solid and of decent thickness.They are very easy to clean, whether with some hot water and a little soap just after using, or the glass will go in the dishwasher fine too. As for the cork lids, I think a quick clean with soap and then a decent rinse with warm water and then leaving to air dry will do the job just fine, but would advise against the dishwasher for them as the prolonged high temperature inside a dishwasher is simply liable to warp cork material - to their credit the maker does advertise that the lids should not be put in the dishwasher. Value wise they are ok, for two of them and at this quality level I think it's reasonable. Very happy with these carafes.

    Seal not good on one of the bottles neck is wider causing cork stopper could push down inside. Definitely not worth the cost
