5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to read tests
How to use:Basically, you carry out one test on the first week of your menstrual cycle and one on the second week. The two results combine to let you know if you are in perimenopause of not. The tests come with full written instructions which are written in good English, along with a range of other languages. The instructions are easy to follow.Positives:The test results are easy to read, and the result is quick. Certainly, much easier and quicker to do two of these tests at home initially rather than waiting for a GP appointment then waiting for test results. The tests are cheaper than comparable test kits that I’ve seen in pharmacies.Negatives:These tests are a little bit of a faff to use (add three drop of urine rather than just putting a stick into the flow of urine), but I do understand that they are comparable to other FSH tests in this respect. The instructions are, as usual, provided in a very tiny print.
4.0 out of 5 stars Easy test to do
Decent test to use for information purposes, so you can get an idea of whether you’re perimenopausal. There’s 2 tests, best used about a week apart. Really easy test to perform. You need to provide your own sterile collection pot for the urine as this isn’t provided. It’s advised to test from a sample first thing in the morning. Information is in the usual small print.
5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to use
This test is easy to use and easy to read the results. Results in minutes. If you can use a pregnancy test, you can use this. I have been advised that some of these tests can't be used if you are on the pill, but there is nothing in the instructions that says this one can't be used, It appears that it's an accurate indication of menopause.

Berkeley Health Easy Check Menopause FSH Home Test Kit | Determine Follicle-Stimulating Hormone in Human Urine Specimens | Fast & 99.9% Accurate | Easy to Follow Self Test Kit | 2 TestsI like home urine tests, they provide rapid, convenient testing options for those wanting to gain understanding of their health status. This test was easy to complete, I had everything I needed to determine if my urine FSH levels indicated perimenopause or not. I love that two tests were provided for accuracy in various stages of the menstrual cycle. I will recommend my nutrition clients and friends complete this test if they have any uncertainty of perimenopause. If you can perform a pregnancy test and a covid test, this will be easy for you. At £8.59, this home test is great value.
5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to use
This test was easy to complete. There are two tests included, the first you do when your menstrual cycle arrives, the second a week later. There are clear instructions included to read your results and know what they mean. You just need to collect a urine sample and add a few drops to the test using the dropper supplied. Gives a clear result
5.0 out of 5 stars Very easy to use
I suspected I was experiencing the perimenopause and this test confirmed that to be the case. The test is very easy to use and understand. The biggest problem was reading the tiny print in the leaflet! The instructions are well written and I recommend reading them thoroughly. They contain useful advice such as not stopping contraception based on the results of this test.

5.0 out of 5 stars High FSH Levels Are A Marker for the Menopause
This is a Lateral Flow Test To Detect Elevated Levels of FSH in Urine. At around the time of menopause, the body produces reduced levels of oestrogen, which allows the body to produce higher levels of FSH (Follicle Simulating Hormone) from the Anterior Pituitary. The excess FSH is excreted in the urine, and the higher levels of FSH in urine can be used as a marker to detect the onset of menopause. The explanatory leaflet suggests...Collecting the urine sample first thing in the morning.Collecting the urine sample in the first week of the menstrual cycle (with the 1st day being the first day of bleeding). If the test result is negative, and symptoms of menopause are continuing, then the test should be repeated a week later. If the person is not having regular periods, then the test can be taken at any time during the cycle, and should be repeated 1 week later.Interpretation...The test itself is just like a pregnancy test... Drop 3 drops of urine on the specimen well, and wait for 3 minutes.Unlike pregnancy tests, where any second line indicates pregnancy, this FSH test specifies you must assess the darkness of the Test Line, and compare it with the Control Line.If the Test Line is lighter than the Control Line, then it is a Negative Test.If the Test Line is the Same Intensity or Darker than the Control Line, then it is a Positive Test.Irregular menstrual cycles and a positive test indicates subject is in the perimenopause. No menstrual cycles for the last 12 months, and a positive test means the subject has almost certainly gone through the menopause.Notes...The test is designed to go positive when FSH levels in urine exceed 25mIU/ml.I would advise women who are taking the test while still menstruating, to attempt to get a clean sample. Ie. try to catch a urine sample which is as best as possible uncontaminated by large amounts of menstrual blood. If the sample is contaminated, then discard and try to get another sample another time.If you are recently pregnant, breast feeding, or taking oral contraceptives, then the test results will not be valid. Check with your doctor.Discussion...The Faculty of Sexual & Reproductive Healthcare (FSRH) in the UK, and the North American Menopause Society both state that FSH levels consistently over 30mIU/ml are possibly indicative of peri-menopause. The 25mIU/ml cutoff stated above therefore makes it perhaps an oversensitive test, going positive even in some women who aren't undergoing the menopause. The leaflet from Berkely Health state that the test is not intended to replace speaking to your gynaecologist. They also repeatedly state that you should not make important medical (or contraceptive) decisions on the basis of this test, without speaking to your doctor.Comments...This seems to be a valid test, but it should be used with caution. The primary use of the test should be to guide & inform decisions about you seeing your physician or gynaecologist. You shouldn't be using the test results in isolation, and certainly not making decisions about your fertility and contraception based only on these test results. Basically, positive or negative, you should be discussing the results with your doctor.
