5.0 out of 5 stars A lightning bolt
I recently got my hands on the Crucial P5 Plus 1TB M.2 PCIe Gen4 NVMe Internal SSD, and boy, did it inject a healthy dose of nitro into my rig! While I haven't dabbled in gaming with it (yet!), I've been using it as my primary OS drive, and the difference is night and day. So buckle up, and let's dive into why this SSD is an absolute game-changer (pun intended) for your OS and potentially so much more!First off, let's talk numbers. I put this bad boy to the test using CrystalDiskMark, and the results were nothing short of spectacular. The sequential read speed came in at a whopping 6495MB/s, and the sequential write speed hit an equally impressive 5090MB/s with a 1GiB data chunk. To put it in perspective, this SSD is so fast, it could give The Flash a run for his money! Jokes aside, these speeds are crucial for tasks involving large files, like video editing, making your workflow smoother than a hot knife through butter. The SSD didn't stop there, though. The 4KiB Q8T8, Q32T1, and Q1T1 tests showcased the Crucial P5 Plus SSD's ability to perform admirably across various workloads. These results suggest that this SSD can handle anything from gaming and AI applications to multitasking like a boss. Now, if only it could make my morning coffee for me...I should also mention that I tested the SSD in a PCIe5 slot of my MSI MPG Z790 Carbon motherboard, which can handle even higher speeds. So, it's safe to say that these benchmark results are pretty close to the SSD's real-life performance, making it a true powerhouse. Now, as I mentioned earlier, I've been using the Crucial P5 Plus SSD for my OS, and the results have been astonishing. It's like upgrading from a bicycle to a rocket ship! My boot times are faster than ever, and launching applications feels nearly instantaneous. I can only imagine the wonders it would do for gaming, with seamless gameplay and dramatically reduced load times, so you can spend less time waiting and more time dominating the virtual battlefield. In addition to gaming (theoretically, of course), this SSD would likely excel in AI and machine learning applications, where quick data access and processing are essential. Video editing and content creation would benefit from the SSD's high sequential read and write speeds, allowing you to edit your masterpiece without breaking a sweat. Even everyday office work would see a significant performance boost, so say goodbye to those pesky loading bars! This Crucial P5 Plus 1TB M.2 PCIe Gen4 NVMe Internal SSD is a fantastic addition to any system, offering top-tier performance for OS and beyond. Its benchmark results, coupled with my personal experience, make it a must-have upgrade for anyone looking to supercharge their rig.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great drive!
Really fast and (so far) reliable. I read a lot of reviews and forum threads before going for this one. It seems to be the perfect balance of performance and value. If I need to buy another nvme in the near future, I’ll just get another one of these.
5.0 out of 5 stars Fast and a sensible price
Really easy to install, fast and with huge capacity. Very happy.

4.0 out of 5 stars 2TB Nvme drive
Bought this to replace a 512GB drive in a laptop purchased in 2023. Easy to install.
5.0 out of 5 stars Fast, durable and good
I installed this drive to replace my failing crucial p2 drive. This acts as my boot device for windows and wow is it quick, boot times have been literally slashed in half, apps open quicker and the OS feels much smoother and responsive. This is definitely overkill for a boot drive but I needed it for specific work cases where some apps run off the boot drive and I couldn't ask for more, I haven't even lost any health yet and I'v been hammering it for about a month now, it's held up much better than my other drives.I have to say crucial t500 is a huge step up over the p2, p3 and p5 line and I can't recommend anything else really.
5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing SSD
Using this as my primary windows and Steam drive, Great speeds and like many other reviews for the price the SSD is great.

3 month review - Highly recommended!
I have been using this for three months and have no issues even with gaming and being exposed to heat. I bought this primarily to store games while it was on sale. After many reviews since I am using a laptop, I read this one doesn't go above 60c and tests confirmed it doesn't need a heatsink, unlike other competing m.2 SSDs. The fact it operates cooler under max load (60c vs 80c-90c) was a big factor in keeping my laptop cooler under load.In a desktop with a heatsink, the others would be fine since cooling is less of an issue. Their performance is great to be clear but if you want to use a higher-performance M.2 SSD in a laptop this is one of the best current choices out there for thermal reasons alone and it performs extremely well.
Fast M.2 SSD Upgrade On HP ProBook 450 15.6 inch G10 Laptop
I swapped out the stock 512GB M.2 SSD on my HP ProBook 450 15.6 inch G10 Laptop (Model#: 822P5UT#ABA) with this Crucial T500 M.2 SSD and it runs considerably faster now. Booting seems quicker too. The ample storage space is quite nice👌Install was stupid easy and only took a few minutes. You'll need a precision screwdriver set if you're upgrading your laptop.I used a SABRENT USB-C M.2 SSD Enclosure to externally connect this SSD to my laptop in order to clone my old SSD to it (before installing/swapping SSDs). The Acronis drive cloning software (available for free on Crucial's website) is quick and easy to use. You don't need to format the new drive beforehand, the cloning software handles everything.I highly recommend upgrading to one of these Crucial T500 SSDs, it's absolutely worth the money.Side note: If you're upgrading your HP ProBook, there's also a secondary SSD slot next to the battery. The HP specs/datasheet are vague about what size M.2 is compatible for this secondary slot, but some online reviews suggest a shorter form-factor M.2 2230 (the ProBook's primary SSD is a M.2 2280, which is physically longer). This M.2 2230 suggestion appears to be wrong, as I installed one and it isn't long enough to reach the screw hole post (which secures the SSD in place). It still works though and the SSD sits firmly in place, even despite not being screwed down. I haven't had issues with it and I handle my laptop somewhat roughly. Also, if you do decide to install a second SSD, you'll need a screw for the screw post (it doesn't come with one).
Excelente producto
Esta ssd funciona excelente en mi PC, se siente la diferencia de velocidad, desde el arranque, en Windows 11 se instala automáticamente.
