5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, Powerful and durable
Bought the rog ally not too long ago and it performs excellent bought a UGREEN dock for it and it's a daily driver PC it's great for someone to start off and they will be able to play any game! Sound quality is very good. Screen quality is 10/10 IPS 120HZ perfect for some competitive titles. East to connect to WiFi and to setup up connectivity 10/10. Comfort is very nice in hand. Battery is good enough and durable if you get a case!
5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful for handheld gaming
The media could not be loaded. It's great for handheld gaming. I had many games installed in my laptop with no time to sit and play. With the ROG Ally, I'm able to start playing them one by one. So far it's great and fun.The performance is nice, it is fast and plays most games I tried at low settings. Had some trouble with Hogwarts legacy, but it's playable.Battery is terrible though, barely 1 hr which is not great for a handheld. Also could use more storage but i heard it can be upgraded.
5.0 out of 5 stars It’s just great!
I was one of the luckiest to purchase the new ROG Z13 tablet PC recently with no regret. It’s far from being perfect just like many other PCs on the market, but it ticks most of the boxes for what I want from a portable PC so I am pleased with this purchase. It’s a small form factor with lots of power in it with the latest OS so this should last and be supported for years to come. Asus did an excellent job here, but they were also careful enough not to use all the potentials of the specs built into this machine that this could give you so there are some limitations. Asus is a well-known brand for long lasting products so no wonder, though. As this is not a proper product review, there are dedicated professional channels for this, I can only share my last few weeks experience. It's a fast, great looking product (it looks amazing, but I could live without the back RGB window panel for practical reasons) and easy to use. My priority is not gaming, but more occasional productivity work and does the job well for me with no slowing down, so I can’t talk about it, although I am looking forward to some casual gaming in the future. The touchpad and keyboard work perfectly for me and are easy to use. I’ve noticed that for many light tasks the fan is in idle, it is actually absolutely silent and doesn't even turn on (saves battery) so that it exceeded my expectation, but not so much the battery. As I was aware of this, I guess you can’t have a monster Intel I9 CPU with all the power with 14 cores being that efficient so I am happy to charge it when it’s needed or keep it on AC for the full power potential this tablet brings with acceptable fun noise. Display is good, usually I’m not even going above 25% of brightness so there is a lot of potential there to save battery or having enough brightness when needed. The only concern I have is, this has a detachable keyboard and also an XG eGPU connection, if this is something ASUS will support in the coming years for keyboard replacement parts just in case or upgrading opportunities such allowing us to invest into XG eGPU mobile RTX40(80) series mobile eGPU that could bring even more benefit for a such a small gaming tablet or simply to the ROG FLOW family.Overall, I can highly recommend the Asus ROG Z13 especially, it packs all the latest specs with power when you need it or being quiet for other tasks, but it is definitely not the cheapest, though.
4.0 out of 5 stars A decent alternative to the Steam Deck
The Steam Deck is fine enough if you're using Steam and only Steam to play games but getting games from other platforms to work was a little bit fiddly. The RoG Ally is a Windows machine so it works exactly like a Windows machine would, through Asus Armoury Crate software you can access and download Steam, GOG, EA, Xbox and Ubisoft launchers you can access any games you download through it as well, you can set custom button templates to remap buttons and there are two defaults, gamepad and desktop so you can approximate keyboard and mouse inputs. As a Windows device it has all the usual Windows features such as Web browsing or streaming via media apps. Hook it up to a dock or a USB hub and you can connect a keyboard and mouse to use it as a standard desktop computer.Armoury crate allows you to set power profiles to manage heat, fan noise and power consumption, it has three defaults, silent, performance and turbo although you can customise to your needs.Battery life isn't fantastic with high power consumption modes lasting around a couple of hours. All in all a decent little device that I found less fiddly to use than the Steam Deck.
1.0 out of 5 stars Let down by Windows 11
The media could not be loaded. Final edit, not even a full 3 weeks and it's getting sent back.Tonight I was playing Doom Eternal, no issues, playing GTA V, no issues. Fired up the Xbox App to stream my Xbox and just as I go to play it black screened and booted into the bios. Couldn't get it to boot back into windows, boot options said there was no bootable device even though I could see the ssd on the screen. Cpu temp looked high to me as well, which is weird as the machine has always been well ventilated.Had my Steam Deck 2 1/2 years with no issues had this just shy of 3 weeks and it's going back faulty.well done Asus, won't buy another.Edited after 2 weeks to reduce the stars. This thing does NOT work well with Steam either in desktop mode or big picture. Really let down with its software.I don't dislike the ROG Ally and I'm not good with Linux but I've had my Steam Deck since it launched way back and the software experience is way better on the Steam Deck. Now that that's out of the way I will say after tweaking the software on the Ally it is a much better machine the 1080p screen and 120hz refresh rate do make for a better visual experience.Definitely need to upgrade the storage on it though 512gb on a windows system is NOTHING 2 modern games installed and no more space on it [gotta leave X amount on ssd free]Doesn't look to hard to upgrade either, slightly easier than my Steam Deck was.I'd only give the Steam Deck 4 stars so don't think I'm far to biased, the Ally has some features that I wanted that's why I bought in.It's worth getting but research tweaking it before playing the games, it's really let down by Windows 11 and Microsoft. Also kudos to Asus on an armory crate that's worth having installed, my Tuff Gaming A15 had it and I found it to be useless on it. took it off.

Asus Z13 Rog Flow
New Laptops supplier sent the shipment promptly through Bolo. Overall good packing and 1 year warranty with this 2 in1 laptop. Vendor was quick to respond on phone to explain about this laptop and provide invoice. Laptop is good and handy to carry. Few more things add on on this type of laptop could be nice if added by Asus ( touch screen stylus, skin for keyboard, pouch to keep laptop). Overall machine looks good with this specifications and vendor is supportive to respond on any questions.
