What a very nice chess set for the price. Everything seems to be high quality and functional. I am really impressed with the magnetic feature, the chess pieces hold well on the board, it's somewhat intriguing.The felt on the bottom of the pieces are excellent for the protection of the board and lifting off the board easily making a move.The chess pieces and box are very well made and finished with no sharp edges or roughness.Everything fits into the case for easy storage, in the inside, the slots for the pieces are giving well handling and protection. The extra Queen, gives additional value.I would recommend and I would buy again.

Great and durable, is fun family game time and value for money. Magnetic bottoms of pieces make it special. Storage is amazing to keep pieces in place and not loose and get damaged/scratched.

Lovely Quality feel Chess set made with real wooden pieces and the added benefit of being magnetic. The pieces store away neatly. A value for money item, recommended for anyone looking for a chess set that travels well But retains a feel of a traditional set.

Great chess and checkers set for beginners. We've been taking it with us to play in pubs and parks. The magnets keep the figures on the board and the board stays nice and even despite the folding mechanism. The size is not the full tournament chess set size, but big enough for comfortable play and easy to carry.Very happy with the purchase.

I bought the Paome Chess and Checkers/(Draughts) set for an eight-year old grandson's birthday later this month (June). The board is solid, well-hinged and lines up flat and with exactly-matched squares when unfolded for play. The soft storage moulds hold the pieces securely and they don't fall out when the "box" is closed.I would recommend a sheet of soft fabric or even paper on an uncovered surface to protect the playing surface from scratches while the pieces are packed and unpacked.The pieces are well magnetised and remain in place at a right angle to the playing surface. I did not try total inversion which is certainly not going to happen in use. The pieces are well made and are of a good size.All in all, I am very impressed with this product and would recommend it to prospective buyers.I will receive a partial refund for this review, but will make this clear: I have never submitted a dishonest review to Bolo or any other company. If I had any negatives to report, I would certainly make them clear. I don't write many reviews and those that I do are honest. This will not be the last of these that I shallt purchase from Bolo if they remain available.

Needed a quick buy for holiday.Arrived in good time and am really happy with the quality all-round.Kids love the set and so are playing chess more now Vs iPads ect.Recommend.
