5.0 out of 5 stars Best harness I’ve ever owned!
Absolutely fantastic. Gives my 45kg German Shepherd actual comfort and support, and looks amazing on him. Wonderful bright blue colour :) As soon as I fit this harness on, my dog seemed to be much calmer, easier-going and more comfy walking on the lead. We’ve trained him to the point where he wouldn’t pull much anyway, but with this on he almost never pulls.I’ve only had to use the front range a couple times when he’d get carried away and it works very well for preventing hard pulling and redirecting them.Did tons of research and was tempted to get a Ju-K9 harness, but am so glad we went with RuffWear as evidence-wise (mostly expert opinions) they appear to have the best harnesses for optimal joint support and comfort - especially this flagline with 3 clips.Adjusting it is a bit of a pain but as soon as it was done, have not needed to touch the clips again. Effortless to get it on and off my dog everyday and extremely durable handles and loops - no signs of wear and tear almost 3 months in.Delighted. Pricey, but I know this’ll last for many years to come. You really get what you pay for when it comes to dog harnesses. My only regret is not getting this sooner.Went for a vet appointment recently and turns out our vet uses this exact same harness for her Border Collie which helps reinforce its high quality in my eyes. The only thing that would make this better is:-Including cooling vest (ruffwear have a cooling vest harness but it isn’t triple clipped like this one.)-Including a pocket/pouch
5.0 out of 5 stars Love this harness ❤️
The flagline is so much lighter and easier to fit than the webmaster harness, looks so much more confortable for the pooch, but feels just as strong. Goes well with the other dark blue collars so no need to buy the new matching collar
5.0 out of 5 stars Good fit
Light weight not so cumbersome easy to fit and very secure. Will be ordering another one for when I wash it.
5.0 out of 5 stars This became our favorite harness
Good quality and light harness that fits my dog shape perfectly. It's not cheap but worth it. We use it everyday. It's not the most easiest to wash if the dog goes into mud but I had put it in the washing machine with dog towels and blankets and it came out cleaner then a hand wash.Planning to buy more from this company.
4.0 out of 5 stars A good harness for min pins if you get the right size!
I bought this as a replacement for our previous red rock flagline which was a size xs and had to be cut due to a malfunction. My min pin had somehow managed to get her front two legs through the neck hole while bouncing through tall grass, and became stuck in the harness. The only way to get her out was to cut the neck strap as we couldn't loosen it due to the way the front neck straps work and the tension not allowing us to loosen the straps. This was completely due to sizing error on our behalf as we based this initial sizing choice on her winter harness which is a ruffwear webmaster and is a size xs and fits well. Basically, the xs flagline was fine around her chest as min pins are deep chested, but the neck hole did not go small enough for her tiny neck (we did our own alterations to make it as small as the design would allow, but was still not small enough), and therefore was baggy enough for her to get her paws through. I bought a xxs in this new redesign, I absolutely adore the colours (we got the salmon one!), and the xxs is much better. Compared to the webmaster, it is longer, which was very noticeable with the previous xs, but the xxs sits perfectly at the end of her ribcage. The chest strap can be made large enough to accomodate her chest, and the other straps can be made small enough for her little waist and neck, without the extent of the bagginess around the neck with the xs red rock. I haven't noticed any other major differences with the redesign, quality is much the same (there is some stitching which I would expect to be neater at this price, but doesn't effect the function). The only thing I wish all the ruffwear 3 strap harness had is clips on the neck strap, as this would have made it much easier to quickly release her when she got stuck and prevented stress (on dog and humans' behalf!) and possible injury. But I do appreciate this was our error in not initially getting the correct size! So anyone who has a oddly shaped dog similar to min pins/ Italian greyhound, also consider the spacing around the neck when you buy, and you may need a smaller size than you have in other ruffwear harness as the flagline seems to run bigger. My only other gripe is the front loop is now white on all colours, which shows the dirt terribly even after one non muddy walk. With the flaglines and webmaster, never had any issues with rubbing behind the armpits, they have all sat a good distance back from the front legs. Also I can't imagine any dog can escape from these harnesses!Overall, a good harness for min pins if you get the right size! But worth carefully considering sizing if you have a dog with a slight build.
5.0 out of 5 stars A good secure fit.
This is the second one I have bought. They are strongly constructed and hard wearing. The handle on the back is especially useful.
5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Fit
The media could not be loaded. Fits perfectly as it is very flexible, does not move around once it is fitted for the size of the dog. Good material.
5.0 out of 5 stars Lovely for lifting
It’s my third Ruffwear flatline. They are superb harnesses. I used a Flagline for my old dog who had arthritis. I use them for this dog as they are the best harnesses you can buy, in my opinion. The underside is much fuller than many other harnesses, so the dog’s weight isn’t simply on straps. The other reason I use flagline is because the position of the handle further down the back means that you are lifting the whole dog from a central, balanced point. I find other harnesses only lift the front end, leaving the back dangling. These harnesses are the only type my last dog could not escape from. Also, the metal ring is a really great anchor point for your leader.
Ruffwear is amazing
This company stands behind their product!
Easily adjustable, great quality
I bought this because my dog was difficult to fit for a traditional harness. She would wiggle out of anything we put her in. I like the three straps that are very easily adjusted, this fits her frame nicely and keeps her secure. Very lightweight, and does not seem to bother my dog. Worth the cost!
Another great Ruffwear product
I have had several Ruffwear front range harnesses plus a foul weather harness for a few dogs. All have been well made and sturdy. When I found my current dog had to have a leg amputated due to cancer, Ruffwear popped up in a search for best harnesses for 3 legged dogs. Of the 2 mentioned, I bought this one and it has been very helpful for both my dog and me since it has a handle on top to use in certain situations like helping her get up or down from a sofa or car. The double buckles, while being a tad less convenient than the single row of buckles my other harnesses have, actually creates a better fit for her as she's missing a rear leg. A good harness even for 4 legged dogs!
6mo whippet works well
My puppy can comfortably wear this harness for a very long time, and he cannot escape from it unlike his martingale collar. The front is pretty loose on his chest but otherwise it fits well. He is 27 lbs and in a xs size.
Perfect hiking harness
She seems very comfortable on long hikes. She is a Houdini at slipping collars or harnesses but has not been able to with this harness and the two straps around her chest. light weight and has a handle for safety
