5.0 out of 5 stars Sturdy EDC torch
I'm a big fan of Olight torches, and when this one came up £30 off in the Spring Sale I jumped at the chance. Yes £70 is a lot to pay for a torch, but Olight torches are built to last and are a premium product.Torch doesn't disappoint, three types of beam, standard white light, UV and a laser pointer. This makes it ideal for my tutoring role. You can tell the quality just from the box, very sturdy and well presentedCharging is via Olight USB proprietary magnetic charger (included) , which may be a downside if you don't have other Olight products.Laser complies to EU/UK regulations so it's not quite as bright as the US version. But it's more than adequate.Charge seems to last several weeks with general use, water and drop resistant.
5.0 out of 5 stars Best EDC flashlight
I carry this light every day for work and it is brilliant , easy to use very robust and hold a charge like no other . I will be purchasing all my flashlights from Olight from now on … 5 star product all round
5.0 out of 5 stars Does what it says.
Exactly as described. Thanks.
1.0 out of 5 stars Weird charger, no USBC
For that reason, it's next to useless.
5.0 out of 5 stars Its very well made
I like to handle it since it is a nice piece of technology and the material is excellent. I use a lot during my trips to check the cleanliness of the hotel room and to enjoy on dark paths.
4.0 out of 5 stars Good functionality, the myriad of button pressings can be fiddly
Priced at a substantial £99 you do get three-in-one functionality of a multi-brightness torch, laser pointer and UV light. The UV may be less useful unless you make a point of inspecting hotel toilets or the sheets in Airbnb's; I use it to charge-up the lume on watches.Fit and finish is excellent as you'd expect at this price with no sharp edges on the case or clip; I went for the metallic burnt orange finish which looks really good. The flattened body has serrations milled into the side so you get a good grip.Switching modes is simple with the dial, changing the light output does mean learning the timing of multiple key presses but you get the hang of these quite quickly. The torch's 'Turbo' mode will run for a maximum of 4-minutes during which the metal case gets noticeably warm.Charging uses the OLIGHT magnetic 'puck' with a USB-A plug which can charge at up to 1A. The downside is if you forget to pack that lead, then you won't be able to recharge the torch. NB I found that the leads from other OLIGHT torches work fine. Also, you can 'lock' the torch to avoid inadvertent activation while in a backpack. For £99, I feel OLIGHT should have included a fabric carry-pouch for torch and lead into the box, definitely penny-pinching there. All in all, recommended as an EDC carry IF you can make use of the triple-functions and if you have other OLIGHT devices and have charging leads in the home, car etc.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good quality
Great product. My favourite torch. Carry it daily.
2.0 out of 5 stars Unhappy
After careful consideration I decided to purchase the Akfield Pro. After two weeks the charger has decided to stop working and now the laser has developed a fine line along with the green dot laser. Very disappointed and will be returning for a replacement or refund.
