I was attracted to try out is product because of the Ultra part of the soft description. I have tried earplugs in the past but find the pressure on my ear canal causes me earache and sometimes even headachesAt first inspection these do appear to be very soft. Softer than any I have used previously. They crush down extremely easily and it makes them simple to insert without any pressure needed. The plugs then slowly expand and I could hear a soft crackling whilst this was occurring.I decided to perform some tests to see how long they would take to return to their original shape. However, this produced confusing results as some would expand quite quickly and others take a long time. I thought at first the issue only affected the light green ones, but I ended up testing nearly all of them and found that it wasn’t isolated to only some colours and generally some of the plugs just recovered their shape quicker than others. Most recovered in around 30sec, but some stayed smaller and distorted even after several minutes. A couple of the plugs took over 10mins to fully return to their original shape – although most of the shape returned in far less time than thatI tried a couple of really long wearing sessions, including one overnight use. I didn’t suffer any ear ache at all and they sealed the ear canal very well alsoIt seems like you could probably wash and reuse them, so I gave that a try washing them in cold water with washing up liquid. They clean up simply enough, but it takes a while to dry them out as they act like a sponge and retain loads of water. I ended up drying them out on a warm radiator over several hours. The used/washed ones seem to still crush down and return to their shape again so should be reusable, although I’m not sure how many times you could do this

I always sleep with ear plugs, I'm a sensitive sleeper and they've simply been part of my life for more than a decade, so I'm always down to try new ones.These do a fantastic job of keeping the noise out, better than my current ones, they don't pick apart easy as you can get with some lower quality foamy ones, however they did require quite a bit of pinching to get them back out. The 4 star is because I think they could do with a wider or firmer end to make sure they're easy to grab out. I'll wear these, but I'll definitely not push them in as far as I would my wider tapered ones, just to be on the safe side.As a side note, the plugs are in the box, no excess plastic baggies etc etc which is a really nice touch.

Having been going to gigs for years, the ability to protect my hearing for future gigs is something that I have started to take more seriously. I got these to do just that!The little box came with 10x sets of ear plugs, this is 20 total ear plugs.The earplugs themselves are multi coloured. Two sets of each colour. These colours are nice and vibrant. The ear plugs are made out of a squishable foam, they aren't like normal foam which goes back to it original shape in a second or two, this takes a good 30 seconds to a minute to reform itself. This means that you have plenty of time to shape, it place it into your ear canal and let it expand. The downside to this is present, is that you need to have the ear plugs in before the music starts playing which is normally when you would be chatting with friends at a gig.The earplugs do a good job at reducing the total noise. While it doesn't completely eliminate all noise, it brings it down to a level which can in most times, be more tolerable but also allows you to protect your hearing. I now take these to any gig which i take pictures at because I am so close to the speakers.I can highly recommend these to anyone who is in a loud place often, or enjoys live music. Protecting your hearing is a must, if you want to continue to listen to music further down the line.

My partner usually uses Howard Leight earplugs (which remind me of fruit salad sweets - in distinctive yellow and pink!). He never deviates with other brands as he feels HL are the best.Got these Knoxzy Foam Earplugs (5 pairs in 5 colours) for him to test. He is very sensitive to noise so makes a good test subject!One particular evening saw a neighbour having a loud party next door (the walls aren't the greatest where he is) but these helped soothe him to sleep and offered a comforting buffer against the melee. He usually wears noise-cancelling earbuds but they're not practical to sleep with (batteries wear out quickly the smaller headphones are).Comfort-wise, for him, they're just right - not too hard but not irritating either. At first he thought they were a tad small but he adjusted to them and didn't complain (and he is a moaner).Another reviewer mentions they tried cleaning and drying earplugs out for re-use - something that's never occurred to either of us (he sees earplugs as being one-time use) but this may be worth a try - I've mentioned the idea to him but he isn't keen. I suppose hygiene or contamination issues may be a concern.Happy to say he had a peaceful rest, even if the world around him was up till dawn!
