5.0 out of 5 stars Great controller
Excellent value for what you get.It was mounted inside the desk by my partner with cables running out the back for easy access and being easy to use. It is running into a mic arm for recording YouTube videos, so far the monitoring has been very useful for that exact thing. The build quality is what you expect for the price and flashes a little green light when talking which I enjoy :)The latency is great with XLR Vs usb and the sound quality is much better also.Gain control and everything functions as it should, increasing the sound quality of my microphone Vs the usb one I was using previously.
4.0 out of 5 stars Best entry level mixer for beginners?
As somebody who has always used big mixing boards, I wanted to try Stream lining my audio production but I wanted to do it in such a way that it didn’t break the bank and I think that this could be a contender. The sound of it is very good which is the most important thing however the build quality leaves a little bit to be desired however I do understand that this mixer is under £60 and that you cannot really argue if you’re somebody who is just starting out I think that this could be a good option for you!

This excellent little desktop Audio Interface can compete against my Scarlett 2i2.Although it is plastic, construction is brilliant and feels really premium, the controls and sockets all feel solid and have some nice feedback when plugging or turning the knobs. Rotary controls have a nice fluid movement. Because it is plastic this is kind of a plus for me I tend to like to move setups and also take audio equipment for podcasts on my mac and with it being so light it can fit into any rucksack and not be too heavy to carry about, this is not everyone's use case but I find myself traveling a lot and use it for this, as well as my main setup at homeMy PC detected it as soon as connected (as a Fifine SC1 )It has 48v phantom power meaning It works well with condenser microphones. It is clear and crisp with very little background noise and just looks super clean on my desk.Super happy with the item and I have kitted myself out with all fifine products now, super happy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Oozes quality in a small useful box
You can tell this has been designed for a target market. Social media content creators who need some simple ways to mix inputs from a microphone and an instrument and control levels will picking up the mix on a computer will find a versatile and quality bit of kit.I'm not an audiophile so cannot begin to qualify signal response etc. However to my ears the audio was clear and crisp. I was using my microphone and for the instrument my old Korg keyboard. I plugged this into my Windows 11 PC using the supplied USB-C cable. I love the way the USB-C cable came with an attached adaptor so you can plug into your typical old-school USB-A connector if you need. Once plugged in the device was immediately picked up and installed. It appears as both an input and output to Windows. This connection also powers the device. It's rated at 500mA so fits within the specifications for USB and therefore should, in theory, work with all sources. The level control knobs feel quality and move freely but with some resistance so really easy to set. I loved the ring light feedback on each so you can tell if you are clipping or close to it.If you were monitoring while changing microphone phantom power switch there was a click/pop but that should not impact any recording given you should set that up first. It's quite typical although some higher end mixers do suppress this. Despite this, this cute little mixer would feel at home with higher end equipment.
4.0 out of 5 stars Great no frills audio interface
I got this to use occasionally when noodling with my guitar to record any moments of inspiration that may occur. I'm a bit behind the curve of technology when it comes to recording on the PC, so it was very helpful that my computer (Windows 10) recognised the device straight away. The unit is fairly straight forward to understand assuming you have a basic grasp of audio recording (which I do). It has two inputs: a combined jack/xlr socket and a 6.5mm input socket which is switchable between line and mic level so you can have any combination of 2 mics, mic and guitar or 2 guitars (for example). The knobs on the top of the unit control the gain of the inputs and the master volume of the output signal. The input knobs have an LED panel around the base which glows green when the in put is acitve and turns orange just before clipping occurs and red when it does which means you dont have to refer to your software to set levels - very handy. I have been using the interface with Audacity and it works very well. The housing is plastic and is pretty light although not flimsy; the rubber pads on the bottom stop it sliding around in use but when two leads are plugged into it does move about a little. I dont find this too much of an issue as the size of the interface makes it ideal for temporary or mobile use. Despite the plastic construction there is a surprising feeling of quality to the unit, the buttons have a very positive action and the volume and gain controls have a pleasing resistance to turning.I havent used the phantom power provision so cant say anything about that but all the features I have used are excellent. As with all interfaces there is a degree of latency - its not too bad but the delay is certainly longer than more professional ones I have tried in the past.In general I'd say that this is not really for professional use, although the quality of sound is certainly professinal quality (it is the features that place limitations on its use in that respect). I particularly like that it is perfect as a portable interface, the light weight of the plastic housing is a real bonus. If you are looking for an excellent quality basic interface I doubt there is much else around at this price level that is significantly better.
