I've owned loads of aerators over the years, and this is as good as any of them, and really well priced.Chin chin.........
4.0 out of 5 stars Thought the claims were rubbish!
Eating my thoughts, definitely smooths out the wine after pour. Yeah if you do it the traditional way it can be further improved but who realistically waits 2 hours to drink a bottle of wine? Only negative is it's a bit of a pain to clean.

5.0 out of 5 stars Stops drips
I bought this wine pourer predominantly to prevent wine drops when pouring red wine. It certainly does that job well. Whether or not it improves the wine taste I cannot say, I didn't notice a difference.
4.0 out of 5 stars FLOW Aerator: Surprising Improvement, Minor Sploshing
The media could not be loaded. In A Nutshell: The FLOW Wine Aerator noticeably smooths reds but causes a bit of a splosh during pouring. The Positives- Significantly improves the taste of young, tannic red wines.- Easy to use - simply attach and pour.- Tapered, leak-proof silicone stopper fits most wine bottles.- Non-drip spout minimises spills (but not sploshing!).- Very easy to clean and rinse by placing under a running tap.The So-So’s- May require adjusting pouring angle to avoid splosh.Impact on Balance and LengthDoes the wine gain something or is something taken away? Well, I'm not entirely sure, but it could be both, having tested the device on a bottle of Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon from a budget Euromarket, I'm unsure if the aerator necessarily improves the overall balance of the wine or affects its finish (length). That said, personal perception can be powerful! This device seems to do something positive to the tannins in inexpensive wines, making them taste noticeably better (or am I just imagining it?). There's no scientific way to say for sure without extensive testing, but my taste buds are convinced! The VerdictI was pleasantly surprised by the FLOW Wine Aerator. It's easy to use and does a great job of softening tannins in young red wines, making them taste smoother and more enjoyable. The leak-proof stopper and non-drip spout work well, although occasional splashing can occur depending on the pouring angle and depth of the glass. Overall then, I feel that the FLOW Barware Wine Aerator offers an interesting option for red wine lovers and enthusiasts.Footnote: As with all aerators, personal preference plays a role. You might prefer to decant wine or skip aeration altogether.
5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to use and seems to work well on certain wines.
My wife likes white wine and I prefer red, so I'm always conflicted about the proper time to leave my wine to breathe. I have been known (shudder) to drink it as soon as I've opened the bottle!I will always leave a bottle of good wine to breathe properly at room temperature, and I even have a book that tells you the ideal time for each wine variety, but cheaper wine can sometimes do with some help.I left my review to breathe properly for a couple of months to get the best info with as much wine as I could. This clear plastic aerator easily slips over the ends of the vast majority of wine bottles, and although it 'wobbles' a little bit I think that's the soft rubber grippers that ensure a leak-tight fit. I certainly haven't noticed any leaks or drips during my use of it.Does it work? Absolutely! However, I would say it's effect is far more noticeable on wines at the cheaper end of the market, and even they vary considerably. I tested this methodically by taking a couple of sips of the wine poured into the glass from the bottle after opening, then a small drink of still mineral water, then trying the Aerator using a fresh glass. With some wines it was noticeably 'different' but quite a few were transformed into much nicer wines simply by being poured through the Aerator. At roughly £9.00 inc VAT I think it's a fantastic bit of kit, and if you tend to buy the same type or even the same bottle every time it's worth trying as it's so simple to use.And it's far less likely to drip than a bottle on its own!
